Section I
Job Summary: Under the supervision of the principal assume responsibility for the safety and welfare of students under his/her charge while students are in the lunch area, classrooms on rainy days, playground and while students are on their way to and from designated eating and play areas.
Essential Functions / Tasks:
1. Supervise students in such assigned areas of cafeteria, indoor assembly areas, outdoor eating areas, halls, restrooms, and playground.
2. Check in and check out playground equipment.
3. Maintain discipline and control of students while in lines, in the food eating areas, hallways and playground.
4. Report serious problems or situations, including recurrent behavior problems and safety hazards to principal.
5. Maintain visible contact with students on playgrounds to insure safety and maintain order.
Non-Essential Functions / Tasks:
1. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Prior experience with youth is desirable.
