Job Title:NEA Project Manager

Reporting to: Business Development Manager
Contract: Full Time- to cover for Adoption Leave, 35 hours
Direct Responsibility: Administrator and Assistant NEA Manager
Location: Regional Office, Nottingham
Salary: £27,000 per annum

This position will work on a newly developing projectlooking at helping people to set up micro-businesses and is attached to our Business Champions Programme. The post holder will manage the day to day running of this project and will be responsible for its developmentand implementation.
Purpose:To manage the day to day development & implementation of the micro-business support programme.
To manage the NEA project funding and ensure the project is kept to target and completed on time.
To ensure good working relationship with the Department for Work and Pensions, Partners in the project including Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce and Erewash Partnership Limited, East Midlands Businesses and business individuals and participants.
To manage the NEA Project communications and PR ensuring that partners and extended networks are involved.
This is a hands-on role, liaising with mentors, mentees/customers and companies to ensure that the project is delivered smoothly and efficiently.
Main responsibilities:
- Development of Programme
- To manage the development and day to day running of the Derbyshire NEA Project including its profile and impact in Derbyshire.
- To line manage on a day to day basis the NEA Administrator and the Assistant NEA Manager.
- Work with business leaders to ensure support for the engagement of mentors from businesses across Derbyshire and the East Midlands.
- Ensure the recruitment of mentors for the project and maintain existing mentors to ensure both continuing and increased involvement.
- Events/Meetings
- Responsible for all event management and planning; including training sessions and workshops.
- Responsible for the development of a calendar of events for both mentors and mentees and ensure that it is well publicised.
- Grant Management
- Responsible for the maintenance and support all aspects of budgetary control for the project and produce monthly performance reports.
- Ensure that all queries relating to the monthly claims are dealt with properly.
- Research and Information Management
- Responsible for ensuring that both hard and electronic filing systems are kept up to date and accurate and ensure that Data Protection is adhered to at all times and in line with the NEA Project guidelines.
- Marketing/Website and Publicity
- Responsible for the development of the communications and PR plan for the NEA Project ensuring it is in line with all the partners and funders communications strategies/policies.
- Responsible for the development of the NEA website, marketing and publicity materials, newsletter, case studies together with the external awareness of the project.
- Contributing to the wider work of the BITC East Midlands Team
From time to time there may be a need to support the wider work of the East Midlands Team
