Job purpose

City in the Community Foundation has been established for 29 years. The scheme is the registered charity of Manchester City FC and uses the brand of the parent Club to engage and impact over 40,000 lives in Manchester annually.

The Monitoring and Evaluation Manager is a new post that has been created to support the integration and management of a new outcomes based framework for all CITC programmes. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Programme Managers on how to monitor outcomes, developing learning tools, leading learning reviews and communicating results both internally and externally.

Key responsibilities

  • To lead on the implementation of a new outcome-based framework in Manchester.
  • Support Programme Managers to develop monitoring outcomes and indicators for all CITC programmes
  • Manage CITC’s internal monitoring system, Substance Views, ensuring configuration to track outcome and output data
  • Develop of a range of internal quantitative and qualitative tools to aid the analysis of the impact of all programmes delivered
  • Provide training and support to staff in the tools, processes and systems
  • To analyse all data collected leading to the production of specific actions plans for project development and reporting
  • Support and advise CITC staff in providing or reviewing project-specific reports and evaluations
  • Contribute to the production, quality control and promotion of evaluation and learning reports
  • Quality assure all data collection and data management
  • Lead regular reviews of specific programmes or cross-programme themes and other initiatives
  • To deliverqualitative research in a range of social settings including observations, focus group based sessions, informal interviews and any other related activities
  • To identify ways to disseminate findings, both internally and externally, todeepen the understanding of CITC’s impact.

Scope of job

The Monitoring and Evaluation Manager will form part of the management team within CITC. They will take ownership for the implementation and management of a new monitoring and evaluation system ensuring the successful collection, analysis and reporting of data.

The successful candidate will work with relevant members of staff to ensure quality reporting against outcomes and indicators, as well as analysing trends in data to enhance learning and support regular programme reviews.

The successful candidate will be fully accountable for all project budgets and lead on all project related administration.
