Overview of team:
The Architecture team sits within the Information Technology Services (ITS) directorate. Its primary purpose is to define, govern and assure the implementation of SLC’s Technical Architecture.
The teamcontributes directly to the delivery of SLCs Corporate Objectivesby defining and governing a single Business led Enterprise Architecture Roadmap; and as curator of the Architecture Roadmap. It manages robust governance, processes and controls, and utilises flexible and responsive sourcing models as appropriate.
Being responsible for setting the company's strategic technical direction, the highly productive, skilled and engaged Architecture team operates on industry standards and best practices. Its aim being to deliver a modern, scalable, secure, resilient and safe multi-tiered architectural platform.

NoneJob Purpose:
As first point of contact for all team needs, the role holder will support the Head of Architecture and Architecture Manager in the day-to-day running of the department. This is achieved via supporting the production of team operational level analytics, providing an administration support function, and supporting accurate financial management planning and reporting.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Architecture and Architecture Manager with recruitment activity, liaising directly with HR colleagues in the recruitment process – this includes accurate status reporting, interview support and short-listing administrative support via the Oracle HR System
- Responsible for Contractor/Partner resource timesheet authorisation as Hiring Manager, including compliance analysis, management and PO/receipting
- Responsible for departmental timesheet booking analysis , encouraging process adherence, and escalating infractions to the Architecture Manager
- Support the Architecture Manager with delivery of all appropriate capacity and capability artefacts, ensuring they are accurate and adhere to process (including Finance and HR approval) – e.g RAF, budgetary approval/demand confirmation
- Support the Architecture Manager in Financial/budgetary planning and management, with the responsibility for Financial Purchase Order creation, monitoring and GRN Receipting
- Support the Architecture Manager in preparing team budgets and financial forecasting, liaising with the Financial Management team
- Responsible for executing department System Access Requests and Equipment Requests
- Provide administration support in the implementation and operation of the Architectural Governance and Assurance model and process
- Provide administration support to Management meetings/forums – including but not limited to: Chairing of meetings, Minute taking, Booking rooms, Preparation of agendas, Correspondence/diary invites
- Responsible for managing the ‘New starter’ process (log in/equipment request etc), and maintaining this process
- Responsible for Stationary ordering
- Support the production of team reports and status updates to an agreed reporting timetable
- Maintain a log of forum risks, issues, dependencies and actions
- Perform administration (including but not limited to - meeting preparation, co-ordination and minute-taking; stationery ordering, travel-booking via the on-line booking system; meeting booking -on & off-site
- Ensuring team documentation is kept current, version-controlled and stored in the agreed location
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities within the department – including but not limited to: skills development; process improvement; HR and recruitment
- When undertaking the above activities, identify concerns/issues and bring them to the attention of the Head of Architecture and/or Architecture Manager
- To undertake other tasks and projects assigned from time to time
- To adhere to the Company’s rules relating to the security of property and information and to report any breach of these rules
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience of administrative support
- Previous experience of financial, resource and budgetary analysis
- Excellent PC skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office, including Power Point and Excel
