PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Responsible for development, maintenance and provision of a wide range of professional technical IT support for the organization , including IT Solutions, Knowledge Management, databases, websites and portals

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·  To develop and maintain databases and the Jobability portal managed by South Asia covering 6 countries

·  To develop IT solutions for project data management systems and LCD reporting system as per the needs of the project

·  To be responsible for the design and technology and production of electronic publications (newsletter, micro-sites, web pages) as required by the regional offices

·  To extend IT support and expertise to improve the use of IT in the regional offices including trouble shooting.

·  To advise on and support the use of digital technologies, for example social media, for programme and policy work

·  To provide specific IT and communications support to the South Asia Regional Office. This will include one of the core activities of managing the jobability portal for disabled people in coordination with livelihood resource centres and Accenture (partner in the livelihoods project)

·  To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested.

Essential Qualifications

To be educated to degree level in a relevant subject

Essential Other

·  Significant experience in developing web based solutions and management.

·  A good understanding of Management Information Systems

·  Skills in business analysis

·  To have good communication and cross-cultural experiences

·  Experience and skills in coordinating IT work with teams in different geographical locations

·  Experience in working in the development sector

·  To be able to meet deadlines and prioritise workload

·  To have an affinity with the ethos and values of Leonard Cheshire Disability

Desirable Requirements

·  Knowledge of disability and interest to work in international development

·  To be a disabled person

·  Project management skills

·  An understanding of assistive devices and their interface possibilities in interacting with the Jobability portfolio

KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE

Technical Competencies

·  To have excellent computer skills, in particular experience of Microsoft Office.

·  Prior experience of building databases

·  Prior experience of website server development and maintenance such as Microsoft Windows Server 2008 or LAMP

·  To have experience in Desktop Publishing and familiar with packages such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Corel Draw or similar

·  To have experience working within an ITIL or any industry-recognised IT Service Delivery framework

·  Experience in the usage of any of the Quantitative statistical packages such as SPSS/ STATA as well as the Qualitative packages (any one – ATLAS, Epiinfo,etc.)

·  To have experience of using a Content Management System such as Drupal or Joomla

·  To have experience in project management,

·  To have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Experience in managing any e-portals for products or services

·  To have an awareness in assistive technology will be an add-on advantage

Following technical knowledge is required

·  MS Office Suite 2003 to 2010 Advanced

·  Microsoft Lync

·  Web Publishing Software Advanced

·  Content Management System

·  Basic knowledge of any CMS (like Drupal, Joomla)

·  Working experience in Codeigniter

·  Adobe In Design

·  Corel Draw

·  Photoshop

·  Scripting skills Preferable

·  Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Preferable

·  LAMP server experience

·  Experience in Hosting Account Management

Salary– Annual CTC INR 5 lakhs
