About the role
We are looking for an intern to take part in the Americas regional strategic planning process within the local Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. The role will interact with the other controlling departments within FP&A, local client market teams, local underwriting teams, and Finance Operations. Standard tasks will include aggregation, structuring, analysis and commenting of financial performance and productivity data as it pertains to regional data. In this role, you are also expected to contribute to the strategy review process of particular business area with ad-hoc financial analysis. The role entails close partnering with the counterparts on the Business Unit level.
• Assist with the development of a process for measuring regional financial data
• Assist with the development of standard reports, reconciliation procedures and sign-offs around various product portfolios
• Liaise with the Business Unit & local peers to ensure complete and accurate information is captured from existing systems
• Provide services to internal customers (ad-hoc analyses, presentations, stakeholder consulting)
• Continually optimize processes and provide relevant information to support managerial decision-making Location: kindly note that the location of the role can either be Armonk (NY) or Overland Park (KS).

REQUIREMENTS
• In Junior year of an undergrad degree program
• Exceptional academic performance (GPA of 3.0 or above)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be self-motivated, hardworking, analytical and proactive
• Must be able to work well with individuals at all levels within the organization and be able to articulate ideas
About the team
The team has responsibilities for all financial controlling and reporting aspects related to the Americas region and will be closely involved in the Reinsurance planning process
About You
A successful candidate must be able to work to a high standard on their own as well as in a variety of project teams with different parts of the group. Ensure good communication and efficient cooperation within the FP&A team, regional finance teams and Reinsurance Strategy team globally.
