Job Title: Fundraising ManagerScotland

Accountable to:Toilet Twinning CEO

Location: Working from home in Scotland

Hours of work: A minimum of 21 hours, but additional hours would be considered for the successful candidate and flexible working patternsare available

Salary £30,000 FTE

1. To build on Toilet Twinning’s track record in fundraising through proven channels such as schools, businesses, community groups, festivals, events and churches

2. To be the face of Toilet Twinning across Scotland

3. To look for local opportunities that are unique to Scotland in conjunction with adopting UK-wide Toilet Twinning strategies

4. To achieve a minimum 3:1 ROI on this brand new role

Projects Coordinator

Core tasks

  • Work with the CEO to create an annual plan for Scotland that reflects the strategies for working with businesses, high value donors, schools, community groups, festivals, events and churches
  • Work within the Church & Volunteer Officer’s strategy to network with churches in Scotland to promote Toilet Twinning’s church campaigns
  • Work within the Church & Volunteer Officer’s strategy to recruit volunteers across Scotland
  • Work with the Church Volunteer Officer to develop youth resources
  • Work within the Schools & Community Groups Officer’s strategy to network with schools and community groups across Scotland
  • Identify events and festivals in Scotland that can support the UK-wide events strategy, and also support the schools, community groups and churches strategies
  • Work within the Specialist Giving Manager’s strategy for reaching corporates and small- and medium-sized businesses
  • Identify high value donors and prospects that have a desire to give to water and sanitation projects
  • Take part in campaign brainstorms as part of the Fundraising Team
  • Liaise with the media officer on ways to get Toilet Twinning featured in local and national press (newspapers, radio, TV, blogs, social media) in Scotland
  • Report on tactics delivery and results monthly, and identify learning points for future campaigns

ESSENTIAL / DESIRABLE
QUALIFICATIONS/
EXPERIENCE /
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Degree or equivalent

  • Experience of working in the charity sector
  • Experience of working with churches, youth groups and volunteers

PROVEN ABILITIES /
  • Marketing or Fundraising experience
  • Ability to work well under pressure, administrating multiple projects to meet time deadlines

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE /
  • An understanding of the key trends in the Scottish Christian community
  • MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to influence and communicate to a wide range of people
  • Outward looking and responsive to new opportunities
  • Team builder and team player
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Budget management
