Role Snapshot:

The Fragrance Shop are on the lookout for an E-Commerce Assistant to join our team. This is an integral role responsible for implementing the day to day online trading activity and management of online assets and website content. The E-Commerce team are responsible for providing an effective online presence to ensure we compel our customers. The successful candidate will need to be highly organised, with a pro-active and flexible attitude. The role also requires problem solving skills, with a focus on designing and online content administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute and implement the online trading activities across the website
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Buying teams to deliver effective content and promotional changes across the site
  • Demonstrate an awareness of the market and competitor activity to adapt activity to maximise sales
  • Assisting in merchandising the sites to reflect the latest promotions, product offers and seasonal events, ensuring site usability and conversion are as strong as possible
  • Adding new products to the websites, ensuring images and text are accurate and compelling to the customer
  • Monitor the web analytics to measure performance of website activity and make recommendations to change
  • Co-ordinating with the buying team to ensure website stock is available of key lines, especially during promotional periods
  • Building and managing supplier relationships
  • Any other duties as reasonably required

Experience/Skills:

  • Experience of using Content Management Systems
  • Experience working on a retail ecommerce website
  • Experience using analytics packages such as Google Analytics
  • Experience with HTML, CSS & Photoshop or similar design packages
  • Knowledge of website usability, conversion and merchandising
  • Strong communicational, time management skills and organisational skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to use own initiative but also to work well as part of a team
  • Ability to identify and solve problems
  • Ability to exhibit high levels of attention to detail
