Job Title: Director, Learning and Development

Job Scope:

The Director, Learning and Development, with direction from the VP HR, designs, develops and delivers leadership, professional and competency based skills training within the Company that enhance and reinforce a high performance culture. With particular and immediate focus on patient interfacing positions to support our model of delivering an Exceptional Patient Experience. This person supports the Vision and Mission of the organization and serves as a role model to all at MCR with a high degree of professionalism and communication abilities.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develops, designsor selects, and implementsLeadership Developmentand competency-based programs, tools and processes. Assists the VP, HR in the development of an overarching long-term Leadership Development strategy.
  • Develops and measures the effectiveness and impact of training curriculum to maximize achievement of departmental and business objectives.
  • Effectively and dynamically facilitates classroom Leadership training programs with measurable outcomes.
  • Designs and delivers train-the-trainer experiences to build the capability of line management in delivering training for competency based skills and select leadership skills.
  • Facilitates talent assessment and performance development plans for all levels below VP level.
  • Assists the VP, HR in the development of Succession Planning and HIPO strategies and programs.
  • Develops and manages the onboarding and OJT experience for the organization with immediate focus on the patient interface roles.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated skills in selection, curriculum design and delivery of Leadership Development programs and competency based skills programs in a corporate environment.
  • Current knowledge of adult learning techniques and principles.
  • Experience and practical thinking in transferring OD philosophy and theory and applying it to Corporatelearning focused on business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience with assessments to define learning and developmental needs and gaps with line managers.
  • Experience with LMS design and delivery.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Performance Management, tools, resources and systems
  • Experience in human capital and workforce planning.

  • Generalist background in HR administration including HRIS and Benefits

Qualifications:

  • 5 to 7 years of Learning and Development progressive experiencewith supervisory roles in a Company environment.
  • BA required. Master’s degree in Organizational Development or similar HR related degree highly desired.
  • Experience with HR analytics and metrics for measurement of outcomes.
