1MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

1.1Provide assistance and support with guests’ digital activities.

1.2Contribute towards the Leuchie House friendly and pleasant atmosphere enjoyed by guests and visitors.

2 POSITION IN ORGANISATION:

2.1Reports to: Guest Engagement Manager.

2.2Effective co-operative relationships are required with guests, relatives, GPs, visitors, staff, volunteers and any other agencies associated with Leuchie House.

3 SCOPE OF JOB:

3.1To follow and perform all Digital Skills Support duties as per Leuchie House policies and procedures.

3.2To assist in support and occupation of guests.

3.3To perform all duties in compliance with Health & Safety standards and statutory and regulatory guidelines.

3.4Respect confidentiality in all areas relating to Leuchie House.

3.5To follow and abide by Leuchie House rules of guests and respecting their individual circumstances.

4 DECISION MAKING:

4.1Minor decisions with day to day supervision.

4.2Determine priorities of work schedule in relation to the day to day operation of Leuchie House.

5 MAIN DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

5.1Digital Skills Support

5.1.1Liaise with nursing team and guest engagement team to provide

appropriatedigital support for guests.

5.1.2Spend time assisting guests and their carers with IT support. This will

include surfing the web, support withemails, social media, online

shoppingand introducing them to inclusive technology amongst any other IT related support as necessary.

5.1.3Aware of emotional needs of guests, visitors and relatives and referring to senior staff as necessary.

5.1.4Ensure record keeping and documentation is maintained in compliance with legal and statutory requirements as well as Leuchie House best practice.

6HEALTH & SAFETY:

6.1All work duties to be performed and delivered following Leuchie House Health & Safety practices and in compliance with emergency, hygiene, COSHH procedures are adhered to.

6.2Ensure all activities are carried out within the latest risk assessment guidelines.

6.3Report any accidents, incidents or hazards as outlined in Leuchie House procedures.

6.4A minimum lifting policy is in place at Leuchie, however some lifting and use of manual handling equipment is involved in the role.

7OTHER:

7.1Participate in staff meetings, staff performance reviews and staff training as required to promote own development and understanding.

7.2Participate in mandatory training as per Leuchie House policies and practices.

7.3Be flexible in approach to working hours.

7.4Leuchie House is a developing environment and the post holder will therefore be expected to undertake other appropriate duties as required, including being flexible in supporting fundraising activities

8 PERSON SPECIFICATION:

8.1Qualifications

8.1.1Minimum education including English and Mathematics

8.2Knowledge and Experience

8.2.1Experienced in using a variety of IT equipment and online platforms

8.2.2Experience of working within a customer focused environment

8.2.3Experience of working in a care or health environment preferred but not essential

8.3Skills

8.3.1Competent using a wide variety of software and IT applications.

8.3.2Literacy and numeracy essential

8.3.3Good communication and interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with a variety of contacts

8.3.4Excellent organisational abilities and team interaction skills.

8.4Personal characteristics / attributes

8.4.1Demonstrated positive, professional, caring attitude and understanding of customer service

8.4.2Commitment to Leuchie’s vision and core values.

8.4.3Ability to work unsupervised and to use initiative.
