Role:

Responsibilities entail preparation of financial statements and assisting with annual budget. Additionally will perform various “What-If” analysis for senior management, balance investments and prepare the NCUA 5300 report.Adheres to all policies, procedures, State Laws, and Regulations.

Employee shall demonstrate an understanding of, and follow the requirements of all regulation compliance, including but not limited to those of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Customer Identification Program (CIP) and Member Due Diligence (MDD) as it specifically relates to their job functions. Employee shall be trained annually in BSA/AML compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

20%Models and/or forecasting credit union financial performance. Analyzes the forecasted results and makes recommendations to the executive team regarding the asset/liability management of the credit union as a whole.

20%Analyzes and reports branch, product, and member profitability.

10% Works effectively with senior management to develop methods to improve department efficiencies that will ensure financial goals are met.

10%Assists in the preparation of thequarterly outlook and annual budget.

10%Researches monthly budgets and outlook variances and communicates findings to the SVP, CFO.

5% Updates and maintains accuracy in Asset/Liability Management and Profitability software.

5%Maintains investment subsidiaries including the recording and reporting of investment purchases, maturities and income accruals.

5%Stays abreast of industry and business issues, understands and applies this knowledge in current activities.

5% Completes NCUA 5300 Call Report as required.

5% Completes month end reconciliations by assigned due date.

Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

2% Completes various projects and prepares financial presentations for executive team.

2%Other duties as assigned by the SVP, CFO.

Backup Duties and Responsibilities:

1%Prepares daily cash flow for cash availability and transfers funds from Cash Management account to PTA. Monitors Trust for Credit Union and FHLB accounts.

Expectations:

1. To meet all deadlines, with minimal errors and no errors that result in

financial loss to the credit union.

2. To insure all assigned general ledger accounts are appropriately main-

tained, reconciled and in balance.

3. To maintain high quality of internal service to the credit union staff and members.

4. To keep the Controller timely informed regarding key operating issues.

5. To satisfy these expectations with normal management and minimum oversight from the

Controller.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: At least two to five years of similar or related experience.

Education: Bachelor’s degree with heavy concentration in accounting or finance.

MBA is preferred.

Interpersonal Skills:Able to successfully manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines

Self-motivated individual with willingness to learn, accept, responsibility, and tackle new challenges with a commitment to excellence.

Ability to effectively and professionally communicate verbally and in written form with strong reporting skills.

Strong analytical skills

Other Skills: Superior computer skills with competence in Excel and PowerPoint

Perform all aspects of work with a high degree of effectiveness, efficiency, and accuracy.

Understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. Specific vision abilities required of this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed indoors with some potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to electronics work. May require periodic travel. There is exposure to potential hazardous conditions such as robbery. Employees are to receive detailed instructions and procedures to follow in order to minimize risk.
