The salary for this post will rise as and when new projects are initiated

Main Function of Post:

Provide clear leadership, direction and vision to Regenerate-RISE and maintain its values and ethos throughout the organisation

Lead, manage and motivate the charity’s paid staff and vlunteers to deliver agreed outputs that further Regenerate-RISE’s vision

Strategically lead Regenerate-RISE through the process of changes taking place with the contract with Wandsworth Council

Ensure that Regenerate-RISE grows its income, supports current projects and develops new projects

Prepare Regenerate-RISE for CQC registration

On behalf of Regenerate-RISE, co-ordinate and oversee the new Reablement project, including fundraising and raising awareness in the local community

Ensure sound financial and risk management for the existing projects, new projects and the Reablement Centre

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Planning

Support the Board of Trustees in ensuring that they are provided with the appropriate information and frameworks to govern Regenerate-RISE effectively

Collaborate with the Board of Trustees to define and articulate Regenerate-RISE’s vision and to develop strategies for achieving that vision

Create annual operating plans that support strategic direction set by the Board of Trustees and correlate with annual operating budgets, submitting annual plans to the Board for approval

Develop and monitor strategies for ensuring the long-term financial viability of the organisation

Develop future leadership within the organisation

  1. Management

Oversee the operations of Regenerate-RISE and manage its compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

Create and maintain procedures for implementing plans approved by the Board of Trustees

Promote a culture that reflects Regenerate-RISE’s values, encourages good performance and reward productivity

Hire and manage the Human Resources of Regenerate-RISE according to authorised personnel policies and procedures that fully conform to current laws and regulations

Ensure that staff and the Board have sufficient and up-to-date information on all aspects of RISE policies and procedures

Evaluate Regenerate-RISE’s and the staff’s performance on a regular basis

  1. Financial Stewardship

Prepare annual budgets that support operating plans and submit budgets for Board approval

Ensure that staff practise all appropriate accounting procedures and adhere to budgets set

Provide prompt, thorough and accurate information to keep the Board appropriately informed of Regenerate-RISE’s financial position

  1. Fundraising

Develop fundraising strategies with the Board and support the Board in fundraising activities

Oversee staff in the development and implementation of fundraising plans that support strategies adopted by the Board

Submit grant applications and progress reports to funders

  1. Community Relationships

Serve as a spokesperson and representative for Regenerate-RISE

Ensure that Regenerate-RISE and its mission, programmes and services present a strong, positive image to relevant stakeholders

Actively advocate for Regenerate-RISE and its Christian values and ethos

Act as a liaison between Regenerate-RISE and the community, building relationships with peer organisations

Develop our partnership with Livability and Hillsong Church attending conferences and meetings when necessary

  1. Board Support and Leadership

Attend all Board meetings and develop an Advisory Board for each of the projects

Advise the Board on reviewing and initiating allHR policies

Provide a Report at each Board meeting

  1. The Reablement Centre

Lead in the vision and project management of the new RISE Centre - liaising with Health and Social Care leaders

Oversee the fundraising strategy, architects, planning and building of the new Centre

Be strategic in the development of care services for older people within the new Centre

Lead the organisation to CQC registration

  1. National Projects

Oversee the current Regenerate-RISE projects in Wandsworth, Ealing and Nottingham providing regular visits, telephone and written support to the Co-ordinators in each of the areas

Organise a monthly Regenerate-RISE newsletter for staff

Ensure monthly management accounts are available to all project leaders

Represent the RISE Co-ordinators at the Board of Trustees meetings

Ensure that each project remains financially viable, maintains links with their partners and local Churches and follows the values and ethos of Regenerate-RISE

Research and initiate new RISE projects

  1. Company Secretary

Carry out the role of Company Secretary informing Companies House and the Charity Commission of any changes, submit annual returns and organise Regenerate-RISE’s Annual General Meeting

This post also requires the CEO to be involved in the operation of the project in SW15 when staff are on annual leave or sick leave and any other duties that may be required by the Chair of Trustees.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential

Un understanding of the needs of the elderly and a vision for the future of care for the elderly

An understanding of God’s heart for the poor and vulnerable in society along with a passion to make a difference

Previous experience in the caring professions

A track record of successful strategic leadership and project management

Senior Management experience with the ability to lead, inspire and motivate

Ability to establish effective relationships and command the confidence of clients, staff and the Board of Trustees along with colleagues across health, social services and the voluntary sectors

Ability to think and plan strategically and to prioritise work programmes in the face of competing demands

Experience of managing staff, leading a team and working in partnership with organisations

Excellent presentation/communication skills

Excellent numerical, verbal and critical reasoning

Experience of budget management

Able to take the lead and facilitate new initiatives/change

Project management skills and experience

Excellent IT skills

Flexible to work outside office hours and travel to all Regenerate-RISE sites.

Be willing to occasionally attend Hillsong Church Surrey in Guildford along with attending Hillsong’s annual London conference
