Job Title: Careers IAGCo-ordinator

Main Purpose of Role

To work as part of the Careers team focused on attracting and retaining talent in the retail motor industry, as well as promoting the industry as a career of choice, through maintenance, development and creation of careers products and services. To support delivery of the Careers IAG Strategy focusing on increasing the number and calibre of entrants to the sector and taking an ‘influence the influencer’ approach to change perceptions about careers in the motor industry.

Key Tasks &Responsibilities:

  • Actively promote careers opportunities in the sector through attendance at careers related events on a regional and national level. This includes delivering presentations to students, teachers and / or careers advisors at large events, in schools or colleges and via webinars.
  • Liaises with a variety of stakeholders, including employers, training providers, suppliers, teachers, career practitioners and Government stakeholders in order to promote the careers resources and careers in the industry as a whole.
  • Helps to create, update and maintain web content and social media feeds on a regular basis on all areas of the Autocity website, twitter and Facebook, this includes administrating competitions, adding news stories and updating job vacancies as well as ensuring all qualification and training information is up to date and accurate.
  • Working with the CIAG Manager to ensure the ongoing maintenance and development of existing careers IAG products and services.
  • Collection and presentation of information for case studies and preparation of reports.
  • Communicates to schools, training provider and employers about the availability and benefits of IMI careers related products/services and all other appropriate IMI initiatives.
  • Provides high quality response to enquiries relating to careers associatedproducts via web, email, telephone helpline or any other method.
  • Supports Professional Development careers related product launches or promotional activities.
  • Any other duties within the jobholder’s capability in support of the Professional Development team that may be required from time to time.

Working Conditions:

Office based

Mainly 9-5, with some out of normal hours working necessary and occasional overtime as required

Moderate travel, requiring overnight stay. Restricted to UK.

£22k - £24k depending on experience
