Position Purpose/Summary:

To administer and provide timely advice and clarity on all contractual company benefit programs in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined in the Policies and applicable legislation; as well as the conditions outlined in the benefit summary plan description. To support the various locations and HR Specialists on benefit related matters and transactions.

  1. Responsible for ensuring all benefit plans are administered correctly and efficiently at all locations, while adhering to regulatory and corporate deadlines.
  2. Administration of benefits enrollment process in the benefit enrollment website.
  3. Quarterly audits of sites in regards to benefits administration, best practices, etc.
  4. Coordination and audit of 1095 data for accuracy and final submission for year end process.
  5. Delivery of new hire benefits orientation to staff for assigned locations (LSA Management, LSC Pharmacy, Trinity Living Center and Trinity At Home).
  6. Filing of workers compensation claims in a timely manner in workers comp website for assigned locations.
  7. Produce reports for completion of annual OSHA posting requirements by deadline.
  8. Monthly analysis and reconciliation of benefit invoices.
  9. Attend Benefit meetings with consultant assist in preparation of related material and presentations.
  10. Manage requests for hardship withdrawals and distributions, by submitting for appropriate signatures and to payroll for processing.
  11. Develop process for administering performance reviews in a timely manner.
  12. Provide functional guidance and direction to employees, departmental managers, plus liaise with insurance carriers, consultants and government agencies.
  13. Audit 401k employee and employer contributions each payroll. Facilitate the annual 401k audit.
  14. Prepare 401(k) and 45 transfer and submit to third party administrator.
  15. Complete and submit benefit related surveys.
  16. Responsible for monthly reporting as requested by management.
  17. Other duties as required efficient functioning of the department.

Education: Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent years of experience.

Experience: Minimum 1 year experience.

Specific skills/abilities: Strong communication skills (both written and verbal); Ability to work independently and multi task. Strong PC skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office product, particularly Excel is required.

Specialized knowledge, licenses, etc: Knowledge of health insurance benefits
