Business Unit/Enterprise Function
Audit Services contributes to Ally's success by providing stakeholders with timely, relevant and objective enterprise-level perspectives on, and assurance regarding, the effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal control.
Position
Responsible for assessing process risks, documenting IT processes including supporting application systems, identifying and evaluating the design of controls, designing, executing and documenting audit tests and making initial determination about reportable issues. During the audit process, completes work in accordance with audit methodology, any and all applicable standards, and defined plans, budgets and schedules.
Job Responsibilities
Perform a variety of IT general control (ITGC) and application control reviews
Develop a sound understanding of Ally's audit approach, methodology and tools/technology
Member of team performing audit fieldwork including: analyzing IT processes and internal control documentation; conducting tests of design and tests of control effectiveness; developing written summaries of audit findings and reviewing results with management
Evaluate test results; accurately identify symptoms, root cause, problems and identify compensating controls
Draft reporting documents; may assist in preparation of final audit reports
Maintain regular communication with Ally Audit Services management; participate in meetings and interact with IT management during audits
Evaluate the completeness of the auditee's corrective action plans
Addresses issues autonomously as much as possible; elevates issues/concerns as necessary.
Exhibit and promote professional behavior

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required (Information Systems/Accounting/Business related degrees preferred)
3 - 5 years of IT audit experience with concentrations in the financial services, mortgage or banking industries preferred
Technical knowledge and experience auditing operating systems (Unix/MS Windows), databases (Oracle and SQL), business applications and network infrastructure
Detail-oriented, deadline driven, self-directed and organized individual
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Proven ability to excel in a multi-tasking environment
Able to understand risk and control concepts
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Knowledge working with the COBIT, ITIL and/or NIST frameworks
Ability to travel -- up to 20%
CISA, CIA or CISSP preferred
