Job Summary:
Great Ormond Street Hospital is one of the world’s top children’s research hospitals. Children are referred from all over the UK and also abroad and are often in need of treatment for the most complex and life threatening diseases. Working in partnership with the UCL Institute of Child Health, the hospital is the largest paediatric research and training centre in the UK and one of a very small number of internationally recognised centres of excellence in the field of child health. Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSHCC) exists to enable the hospital to reach its ambitions, providing world-class care for thousands of children facing life threatening or life shortening conditions.
The person in this role will pay a key role in providing a customer service focused and highly collaborative business analysis service to all areas of the organisation.
The role requires the ability to analyse, document and propose solutions for complex business problems in order to effectively propose solutions that meet the overall aims of the charity. The ability to collaborate with colleagues productively, analyse existing business process and translate future business needs into coherent specifications is required.
Where analysis involves the use of information technology, the ability to understand, document and prepare requirements for software applications is required.

Internal customers, Deputy Director of Operations, Project & Business Analysis Manager, Peers, Database teams, Supporter Services, Finance, all fundraisers, IT, Brand and Design and Digital teams
Main duties and responsibilities:
· Support the Project Manager and Business Analyst by the delivery of approved charity projects to agreed project plans and budgets.
· Help maintain and keep current documentation related to organisational-wide business processes.
· Collect and understand business requirements for assigned projects, working with the Business Analysis team translating these into stakeholder approved functional specifications. Communicate clearly (in plain English) with stakeholders in a prompt and timely manner; preferably using face-to-face communication with email for confirmation purposes wherever possible.
· Highlight any flaws in existing systems and practices, bringing them to the attention of stakeholders and propose idea and recommendations for improvements.
· Document and analyse current business processes.
· Provide supporting documentation for existing and new processes such as manuals, document templates and training materials.
· Work closely with the test manager and test team to assist with regression and user acceptance testing.
· Adhere to and help maintain standards for business analysis.
· Perform any other relevant duties as required within the team.
· Positively contribute and work to team objectives.
· Adhere to GOSHCC’s policies and procedures.
