Job Opportunity – Manager Neighbourhood House

Dallas Neighbourhood House Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Manager to oversee the day to day operations of the Centre operating from Broadmeadows Community Hub. The position is essentially 30.4 hours per week.

Dallas Neighbourhood House (DNH) is a provider of adult education and community development programs to residents in the Dallas/ Broadmeadows area. A voluntary Committee of Management is responsible for employment, organisational policies, strategic planning and governance.

We are looking for a highly skilled Manager to –

  • Manage the overall day to day operations of the office ,
  • Recruit, manage, supervise staff, tutors and volunteers,
  • Develop and coordinate program activities and community events
  • Prepare and Manage budgets.
  • Prepare submissions to funding bodies
  • Ensure ACFE program delivery and funding compliance
  • Network with local community and other local providers
  • Ensure compliance requirements are being met
  • Develop policies and procedures as required.
  • Other duties as directed

You will need to be an experienced and confident leader to manage our community Centre based services. The ability to provide leadership and work cooperatively with a multidisciplinary team of staff and volunteers is essential. The candidate requires proven management skills including financial/budgeting expertise, community development and anin-depth understanding of community and further adult education (ACFE) or in a related field.

Salary - Neighbourhood Houses & Adult Community Education Centers Collective Agreement 2016 – Level 8 (negotiable)
