Job Title: / WFC FUNDRAISING MANAGER / CONSULTANT

Reports to: / WFC Chief Executive, Alice Bragg
Job Purpose: / To raise funds for WFC, particularly in the area of Trusts and Foundations
Main Duties & Responsibilities

1.  To continue existing applications to Trusts and Foundations previously identified as in alignment with the work of World Film Collective

2.  To build relationships with and liaise with Trust and Foundation Administrators to ensure advancement of applications to the final stage

3.  To research and identify additional Trusts and Foundations for which WFC is eligible to apply.

4.  To write and submit applications at each stage for both additional Trusts and Foundation and existing applications.

5.  To network in circles where additional funders may be located.

6.  To research and understand fully the nature and work of WFC in order that funding applications have the highest chance of success.

7.  To liaise with WFC staff members on the requirements and deliverables for each fund in advance of applications made.

8.  From time to time to work on the procurement of funds from other sources

9.  To provide regular and comprehensive reports to both WFC Chief Executive, Alice Bragg and for presentation to the WFC Board of Trustees

10.  To maintain relationships with funding bodies identified as potential supporters of the work of WFC

11.  To be able and willing to work both from the WFC offices and from home,

12.  To use personal equipment in order to carry out WFC work, in particularly a laptop computer.

13.  To liaise on strategy with WFC Chief Executive, Alice Bragg as well as in consultation with WFC advisors and other members of the WFC team.

14.  To work to deadlines and meet agreed targets.

KNOWLEDGE / ·  Knowledge of fundraising practices and regulations
·  Knowledge of existing Trusts and Foundations, particularly in the area of youth education.
·  Knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PPP;
·  A familiarity and confidence with the internet. / ·  Photoshop;
·  Illustrator;
SKILLS & ABILITIES / §  High level interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
§  Excellent writing skills, including structuring, tailoring and handling information;
§  Ability to research and fully comprehend fundraising criteria and WFC’s suitability in relation to these;
§  Ability to think strategically;
§  Strong organisational and planning skills
§  Proven ability to meet targets and deliver to deadlines
§  Confidence in instigating and maintaining relationships with funders and potential funders;
§  Good negotiation and influencing skills;
§  Adaptable and flexible 'can do' approach;

EXPERIENCE / §  Demonstrable and proven fundraising experience in the area of Trusts and Foundations;
§  Experience of working in a multi task environment with great self initiative
§  Experience of building relationships with funders
§  Proven track record of developing and leading on successful fundraising activities
§  Proven track record of writing successful funding proposals and applications / §  Experience of working in a charity environment/not for profit sector.
§  Experience of TV/Film production and/or distribution.
§  Experience of working (paid or voluntary) with youth.
QUALIFICATIONS / §  Graduate or equivalent qualification / ·  Educated to Degree level (BA Hons or equivalent)
