Job Description Summary:

This role offers the opportunity to work in a senior Finance position within a business currently going through a period of strong growth and investment, with potential for progression within the group. This pivotal role within the finance team includes managing the day to day accounting and reporting requirements of an entrepreneurial business whilst also operating within a corporate environment.

The role holder is responsible for the maintenance of a strong controls environment to include statutory reporting and Sarbanes Oxley, as well as driving business performance through the business partnering of key functions, to include reporting, forecasting, planning and investment appraisal activities.

Key Responsibilities:

·  Business partnering the 3 Value stream leads and Operations Manager through cost centre, capex and headcount reviews, providing cost control support and challenge

·  Management of the bottom up process for the annual budget and 5 year plan

·  Overseeing the month end close process in SAP and Corporate reporting via HFM (Hyperion)

·  Managing the monthly forecast process, including reviewing and consolidating the submissions from other finance team members, including the preparation of monthly forecast packs for review with Corporate

·  Ownership of monthly balance sheet reconciliation process and review for quality and accuracy

·  Managing the Quarterly/Annual reporting schedules into Corporate

·  Ownership of the statutory accounts and tax reporting cycles

·  Ownership of the financial controls environment and implementation of Sarbanes Oxley testing

·  Overseeing the standard costing and hourly rate calculation for the business

·  Oversight of funding applications, submissions and audits as well as R&D tax relief claims

·  Process improvement in line with ACE methodology; support continuous improvement and ACE deployment through active participation on lean events, workshops and continuous improvement activities. Proactively seek to identify opportunities for improvement

·  Guidance and development of two qualified accountants through matrix management

Job Holder Requirements:

·  Qualified accountant (ICAEW, ACCA or CIMA) with a minimum 5 years post qualified experience

·  Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP

·  Strong analytical and report writing skills

·  Strong understanding of financial controls

·  Ability to influence and work well with senior management

·  Ability to make timely and effective decisions

·  Proactive and self-motivated with the determination to succeed

Desirable:

·  Experience in a manufacturing environment desirable

·  Knowledge of SAP and HFM desirable but not essential

·  Understanding Sarbanes Oxley legislation desirable but not essential

Security Clearance:

·  As part of the legal requirement to comply with international trade controls, Crompton Technology Group Limited (“CTG”) will require all candidates to successfully complete a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check including criminal record checks. In addition CTG will check the identity of all employees against various government denied party lists prior to making a formal offer of employment.
