POSITION TitlePreservation Supervisor

REPORTS TO Global Account Director

POSITION SUMMARY

This position’s primary responsibility is to ensureoperational excellence in the preparation, completion and follow up of service-relatedprojects. This person must be able to oversee preservation projects from pre-deployment to demobilization and may include the coordination of multiple projects simultaneously that occur in multiple countries worldwide relying on key relationships within and external to the Company.

The position is responsible for managing the day-to-day preservation activities of a crew that may include local, client-supplied site labor, Cortec Preservation Technician, or combinations thereof. This position is responsible for overseeing the work of others as well as completing hands-on application of Cortec preservation. This role is also responsible for developing, designing, delivering and managing the certification of OJT (on-the-job) training modules both internally and externally. Additionally this role is accountable for all deliverables as assigned per contract with client.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  1. Complete all job accountabilities within the context of a world-class safety culture that is incident and injury-free.
  1. Maintainall worksite- and client-mandated safety, environmental, project and quality policies and procedures without exception.
  1. Create and maintain processes under “Global Best Practice” guiding principles for preparing for execution/mobilization/preparation of contracts and projects including estimating operational requirements, talent, supplies, materials and products.
  1. Manage project readiness throughout the process of contract negotiation and execution.
  2. Ensure all contract requirements are understood and in line with Global Services’ strategic objectives.
  1. Ensure that all internal and external communication requirements are met, documented and forwarded to the Global Account Director or Senior Project Manager – Preservation & Field Services.
  2. Develop and deploy OJT training modules based on Scope of Work (SOW) for assigned projects.
  1. Demonstrate a positive attitude; contribute actively to a respectful multi-cultural work environment; and exhibit a willingness/preference to work in a team environment that includes assisting other cross-cultural and interdepartmental team members as needed.
  1. Manage crews of two to ten+ people, which may include local laborers, employees or contract-based employees.
  1. Write work method statements for preservation product and service applications.
  1. Contribute and actively elicit from others information to develop Corporate Intelligence related to best practices, product information, successful applications, equipment, methods and referrals/contacts.
  1. Develop corporate intelligence related to growth opportunities.
  1. Develop training programs on Global Services process, marketing message and sales cycle.

Secondary Job Accountabilities

  1. Stay current on industry trends, market changes and competition’s strengths and weaknesses.
  1. Perform additional sales/marketing/technical/administration responsibilities, presentations and special projects as assigned by the Global Account Director, VP Sales, and/or Senior Project Manager – Preservation & Field Services.
  1. Directly or indirectly develop contacts and prospects for future preservation projects.
  1. Other related duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Minimum EducationBachelor’s degree or Equivalent Industry/Military Experience

Minimum Experience10 years’ experience with equipment maintenance or

preservation. Strong preference for VCI/VpCI preservation service crew management.

Other Requirements Some projects may require additional licensing, safety and/or

specific requirements such as TWIC® card, background checks, drug/alcohol testing, offshore, open-water safety, NACE® certification.

-Position is field based and is likely to require site work for prolonged periods.

-Job will require compliance with project site work requirements that frequently include 5-7 day work weeks and at times up to 12 hours per day of work availability.

-Client projects may require travel of up to 100% in a regular, rotation and/or “relief” capacity including assignment to remote, developing countries.

Physical Demands:

NOTE: "Occasionally" equals 1% to 33%; "Frequently", 34% to 66%; "Continuously", 67% to 100%.

It should be noted that the below descriptions cover a range of projects and represent the company’s best current estimate of average activity required for average project. This position requires physical activity, the extent of which is based on the project being completed.

It should be understood that often the employee will be working in a construction area, most similar to an “oil/gas module fabrication yard” where the scope of work completed by the employee may require working on scaffolding, scissor lifts or permanent grating – where the work may be completed on a platform, scaffolding or grating, and is located up to 30-60 meters from the ground. Proper PPE is required as is fall protection at the work site.
