Job Description: ISVA and Outreach Services Manager

Job Title: Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) and

Outreach Services Manager

Responsible to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Salary: £31,846 per annum (pro rata)

Hours: 30 hours per week worked over 4 days (Monday-Thursday including Monday eve)

Time off in lieu will be given for any additional hours worked

Job Purpose:

·  Operationally lead and manage services across identified key management areas.

·  Lead service development and continuous improvement across all operational management areas of responsibility.

·  Act as a nominated safeguarding leads across the organisation.

·  Represent CRASAC externally when required.

Key Competencies

The Service Lead is expected to work within the ethos of CRASAC and have high standards of practice. Key competencies include being proactive, flexible, strong leadership skills and strategic insight, the ability to work as part of a team and to work with integrity.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Operational Management (Overview)

·  Overall responsibility for the ISVA service, specialist outreach services for Black and minority ethnic (BAME) victims and young people’s awareness and advisory services, including budgetary management and the quality of service delivery.

·  Provide line management support, supervision and annual appraisals to the ISVA Manager and the specialist BAME and Youth Outreach workers

·  Provide relevant quality and operational data and analysis as requested by the COO

·  Work with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the COO to apply for relevant funding for services

Service Development Includes:

·  Working with the CEO and the COO to ensure effective and efficient systems and processes are in place for services, for optimum service delivery.

·  Uphold and promote Crasac values, ensuring that the service constantly strives to improve client outcomes.

·  Promote continuous improvement across all service areas, developing new systems, processes and ways of working where needed.

·  Engage staff in the process, and effectively lead and support any changes required.

·  Develop and support team processes and enable effective team working and effective communication across all CRASAC services.

·  Develop the use of available information to analyse trends as part of the process of continuous improvement.

Operational Management Includes:

·  Lead on referral management, constantly reviewing the efficiency and effectiveness of the process.

·  Oversee the performance and quality of the ISVA team (supported by the ISVA Manager), ensuring that performance targets are achieved.

·  Oversee the performance and quality of the BAME Outreach service (supported by the Senior Outreach Practitioner)

·  Oversee and develop the youth participation services (supported by the Youth Participation Worker)

·  Investigate service user complaints where required.

·  Provide regular written reports for the CEO and COO and service evaluations as required/directed.

·  Attend staff meetings and training as required

·  Work flexible hours as required

·  Carry out any other duties that are within the scope, spirit, purpose and responsibilities of the post and it’s grading, as requested by the CEO and COO

·  Demonstrable Leadership skills

Desirable:

·  Post graduate management qualification

·  Knowledge and understanding of the nature of sexual violence and abuse and its effects on victims and survivors

·  Experience of working in the field of sexual violence or VAWG

·  Experience of working with a range of agencies in the statutory and voluntary sector

·  Experience of developing and delivering training
