Responsible for:Education volunteers and sessional workers

Job purpose

To develop, promote and delivera dynamic and inclusive year round education and activities programme for adults, young people, and children

Main areas of responsibility

  1. Develop and deliver educational events and activities for children, young people and adults, including tours, workshops, written materials and holiday activities.
  2. Co-ordinate signage on the Farm, making sure it is up to date and informative
  3. Train, supervise and support a team of volunteers (and sessional staff if necessary) to help deliver diverse educational activities.
  4. Liaise with teachers and other education professionals to ensure the Farm’s educational programme remains current and up to date
  5. Contribute to the minimising of costs or raising of funds, in whichever way is most appropriate, to continue the Farm’s educational activities
  6. Keep records to monitor and evaluate the Farm’s educational activities, and the use of these records for writing reports (eg: for the board, for funders)
  7. Carry out risk assessments for Educational activities, making sure they comply with the Farm’s Health and Safety policy
  1. Act as Duty Manager when required
  1. Any other duties as are reasonably required
