2017 Master Program in International Business (IMIB)

Part I. About the Program

Program Objectives

This program prepares you for leadership positions in the field of international business with a curriculum designed to help you meet the unique challenges of managing teams that span continents and cultures and expanding businesses into new global markets. Participants will get equipped to become a successful business executive with competence in multinational enterprises, government agencies and non-governmental organizations.

Students are expected to complete the program full time in 2 years.

The program aims to

-- demonstrate to students how to establish global awareness and cultural tolerance by analyzing cultural diversity and its effects upon international business.

-- provide students with an opportunity to understand how organizations interact within different socio-cultural and political environments, as well as the role of government in international relations and global commerce.
-- help students to develop valuable business operation skills in international business analysis and decision-making.

Program Mode / Structure

Instruction:

The language of instruction is English. Classes will incorporate a mix of lectures, seminars, case discussions, tutorials, presentations and so on.

Master Thesis

Students are expected to bring specific research questions concerning international business management and multinational strategy to the program, as a part of thesis research preparation. In the first semester, students can choose their thesis supervisors. The thesis is expected to combine theoretical perspectives, analytical skills and practical experiences of international business, and aiming at solving practical problems. Students must pass oral exam for the thesis.

Degree Requirements

Students are required to complete 32 credits course work and a master thesis and thesis defense within the required time period. Students meet all above requirements and acquire approval of JUFE Degree Committee, will be awarded the master degree in international business.

Part II. Application and Admissions

Application Prerequisites

All applicants must meet the following entrance requirements:

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport,abide by laws, decrees and rules, regulations of People’s Republic of China and JUFE;

2. Applicants should be officials or managers below 45 years old, engaged in the operation or management of international business and economic cooperation with a bachelor's degree (or equivalent qualification). For those from non-English speaking countries, English proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL (IBT) 75 and up is required.

3. The candidates must be healthy and must not have any disease or situation listed below:

a) Diseases prohibited by Chinese Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Laws and Regulations

b) Other severe chronic diseases like high blood pressure, cardio-cerebrovascular disease, diabetes; psychological diseases; or other infectious diseases which may harm public health

c) In recovery period after major surgery or acute disease attacks

d) Severe physically challenged

e) Pregnancy

4.Only applicants recommended by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China will be considered and admitted.

STEP 1: Fill in the Application Form

Please firstly browse our webpagepplication to download the “Application Form of Master Program in International Business in Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics”. Fill in andprint the form and sign your name and the date on it.

STEP 2: Sending E-copies of All Application Documents to JUFE

Applicants are required to send the e-copies of your application documents by email ( or ) or fax (+86-791-83816581).

Note: Admitted applicants are required to bring the hard copies of all application documents (including all physical examination results) to School of International Economics &Trade, JUFE for registration.

Note:

The documents provided should be the original documents in English; otherwise, notarized translations in English are required.

The application documents will not be returned whether the applicant is admitted or not.

Application Deadline

All the application materials must be received before June 30th, 2017. The Admission Notification will be sent out in mid-July.

Admission

The eligibility of all the applicants will be assessed according to the requirements of JUFE.
