Research Experience:

Master Thesis:” The Black Church in the Era of McDonaldization.” McDonaldization which is defined as the process by which the principles of the fast food restaurant are coming to dominate more and more sectors of American Society as well as the rest of the world. I argue that the concepts, control, predictability, efficiency and efficiency used in McDonaldization have now infiltrated the culture of the Black worship experience.

“The Social and Economic Characteristics of the Patton Plantation.” is a brief historical overview of the creation, development and organizational structure of one of Brazoria county’s wealthiest sugar plantations. The Patton Plantation by all accounts was a typical southern plantation. The history of this plantation now called Varner-Hogg Plantation dates back to 1821 and is located in West Columbia, Texas which was initially the Texas state capitol.
