Richard Holbrooke, Obama's "U.S. special envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan" is a member of the New World Order's Jesuit-ruledCouncil on Foreign Relations, and has been a repeated attendee at Bilderberg meetings (e.g., 1996, 1999, 2008, 2010), and has been a member of the Trilateral Commission (e.g., 2005).

US special representative for Afghanistan Richard Holbrooke and General David Petraeus are scheduled to meet
Afghan Foreign Minister Zalmai Rassoul and other diplomats in Rome on Monday, according to Italy's foreign ministry,
DPA reported.
The talks, convened by Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini, are to focus on progress made on "returning to Afghans control of their territory and finalise political strategies that will guarantee stability," the ministry said in a statement.

ROME – Iran took part in a high-level meeting on Afghanistan on Monday after the United States said it has no problem with its participation.
The international "contact group" met in Rome amid a renewed push to end the nine-year-old war in Afghanistan, including bringing Taliban into peace talks. The group gathers the Afghan government, NATO, the EU, U.N. and other key players - including Iran this time - to assess progress in Afghanistan.
Representatives attending the talks said Iran was invited as part of efforts to have a comprehensive approach and include regional players in the discussions over the future of Afghanistan.
Richard Holbrooke, U.S. special envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan, said Washington was asked about possible Iranian involvement and responded it had no problem with it. He and other representatives stressed the talks are limited to Afghanistan and do not touch on the contentious issue of Tehran's nuclear dossier.

ROME US general David Petraeus and US special representative Richard Holbrooke will meet with Afghan Foreign Minister Zalmai Rassoul and other diplomats in Rome on Monday, Italy's foreign ministry said.
The meeting of the International Contact Group will bring together top diplomats to discuss the situation in Afghanistan, including 10 representatives of Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) member states, it said.

Holbrooke is the US special representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan and will travel to Italy at the end of a European tour, following a NATO ministerial meeting in Brussels, as well as talks in Berlin and Paris.
