Part 1, Groups

1.In your groups of two or three, decide who is A, B, and C and record your names above.

2.Your group will write six problems. Each must involve a different subject and different category. If your group includes two people, each person generates three problems. Write A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, and B3 in the table for your choices of subject and category. If your group includes three people, each person generates two problems. Write A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2. No two cells in the same row or same column should be filled in.

3.Think of your own problems matching your subjects and categories and record them on your problem sheet as the draft problem. You want them to be relatively difficult for others to solve. Write complete sentences in question form and draw a diagram if necessary.

4.Record the solutions to your problemson your solution sheet.

5.Exchange problem sheets within your group. Proofread the problems you receive and suggest improvements. For example, words may be misspelled or the problem is difficult to understand.

6.Solve the problem on the group practice sheet.

7.Return the problem sheets. Make the suggested revisions to your problems and rewrite them in question form suitable for Jeopardy as the final problem.

8.Compare your answer with your group member's practice answer. If they don't match, figure out where the mistake is and correct it.

9.Notify the teacher when you are finished. You are ready for part two.

Part 2, Teams

1.Your group of two or three will be combined with another group to form a team. You want to ensure that your team is as smart as possible.

2.Exchange problems with someone from the other group. Find the solution to each other's problem and record them on your team practice sheet.

3.Check the solutions of the person you exchanged problems with. If any solutions are incorrect, help the person find the mistake and correct it. Make sure the person understands.

4.When your team is finished, collect all papers and turn them in.

5.Now solveeither individually or as a team problems from previous years for practice. You may see only the problems, not the solutions. Help your teammates figure them out.
