Timed Finals: 6:00 PM

Saturday & Sunday – Morning Warm-up: 7:00 – 8:30 AM

Timed Finals: 8:45 AM

Saturday & Sunday – Afternoon Warm-up: 12:45- 1:45 PM

Timed Finals: 2:00 PM

NOTE: Afternoon warm up will start at the completion of the morning session. Afternoon timed finals will start 1 hour and 15 minutes after the start of afternoon warm ups. Warm ups may necessitate split sessions depending on the number of teams entered. All teams will be notified of their warm up times.

ELIGIBILITY: The meet is open to all registered USA swimmers. Best times must be entered for each individual swimmer. No times (NT) will be accepted only if the swimmer has not previously swum the stroke/distance regardless of age-group.

FACILITY: The course has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C (4). The copy of such certification is on file with USA-Swimming. The competition pool is 25 yards, 8 lanes with non-turbulent lane ropes. The pool depth at the starting blocks is 7’. The pool depth at the turn end is 7.5’. Pool is equipped with Daktronics Electronic Timing system and scoreboard. The venue has seating for 1236 spectators and large on-deck athlete seating area.

ENTRY FEES:

$3.00 for individual events ($1.50 goes to OKS Aquatic Fund)

$6.00 per relay (($1.50 goes to OKS Aquatic Fund).

$7.00 surcharge per swimmer.

$6.00 – deck entries for individual events of which $1.50 goes to the OKS Aquatic Fund and $12.00 for deck entry relays of which $1.50 goes to the OKS Aquatic Fund.

ENTRY LIMIT: Individuals may enter a maximum of five events per day plus relays. Subject to the previously mentioned limitations, deck entries will be accepted for open lanes, if available, 30 minutes prior to the beginning of each session at double the entry fee for that event. Age as of the day of the meet, October 14, 2011 will determine eligibility for age group.

RELAYS: Relay entry forms need club identification. Names and ages of swimmers in the relay need to be on the entry prior to the event being swum.

ENTRY PROCEDURE: Teams entries may be submitted by disk for all Hy-Tek Team Managers users; or team entries may be submitted on attached form reflecting swimmers name, USA-S number, events entered, and entry times. Include a “hard copy” of what is contained on the disk. All information on team rosters and entry forms must be completed. By signing the hard copy of the entry file, the coach or team representative attests that all swimmers entered are USA Swimming members or have applied for USA Swimming registration. Failure to follow the above directions will result in the entire team being scratched from the meet. Entries exceeding the meet limit will be flagged and coaches notified for editing. Team entries will not be split. 2011 USA Swimming and OKS rules will govern this meet. Deck entries will be accepted before the conclusion of warm-up in the Meet Management room on the pool deck.

DECK ACCESS: All Coaches, Officials, and other non-athlete members must wear their current USA Swimming Registration Card in order to receive deck privileges. Non –Athlete Registration cards DO NOT grant access to the pool deck area at any time. Failure to comply will result in removal from deck.

AWARDS: Individual events will be given ribbons for 1st through 8th place (A, B C times) separately for each age group 8 & under, 10 & under, 11-2, 13-14 for male and female swimmers. Events will be swum 12 & under and 13 & over but awarded separately. Individual events in the Open events (other than 13-14 age group) will be given ribbons for 1st through 8th place for male and female. Relays will be awarded 1st through 8th place.

SAFETY: All activities at the location that may result in injury are prohibited. Safety marshals will be appointed to monitor the activities of swimmers and spectators during the warm up and the meet, and are empowered by the safety rules of OKS, Inc. to enforce the safety procedures. Repeated violations or activities that are considered to be sufficiently dangerous may result in ejection from the meet. In addition, no shaving will be allowed in the pool or lock room areas. In granting this sanction, it is understood and agreed that USA-Swimming Inc., Oklahoma Swimming, all officials, The Jenks Trojan Swim Club, and volunteers, shall be free from any and all liabilities or claims for damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of the meet.

Rules regarding use of cell phones or cameras at OKS Sanctioned Meets. The use of equipment capable of taking pictures (e.g. cameras, cellular phones, PDA's etc) will be banned behind the starting blocks during all meets sanctioned by OKS. Use of these devices will not be permitted behind the blocks during warm up or competition. OKS will work with all facilities that events are held in order to ensure that the policies of their facilities regarding permissible use of cameras & cell phones in their facilities are clearly posted. In addition, notification of these policies will be added to all OKS meet announcements, and published in meet programs, announced at meets when possible, and presented at Officials and Timers briefings prior to each session. The Meet Referee and the Meet Director will work together to communicate the implementation of this policy into the normal operations procedures of OKS sanctioned swim meets. In accordance with the Federal Voyeurism Prevention Act of 2004- the use of camera phones or video recording devices in the locker rooms is prohibited

WARM UPS: There will be warm up sessions for both morning and afternoon sessions on Saturday and Sunday of the meet. During the first 30 minutes of each warm up session each day, there will be no dive entries in the lanes. The second part of the warm up period may be used for starts and one way spirits. Starts and sprints in individual lanes may begin when all coaches, meet marshals and referees assigned to that lane agree, and the lane has been cleared of all swimmers. Each team must submit the name, address and phone number of the team contact to be notified of warm up assignments. The Meet Referee has the discretion to change as conditions warrant.

All swimmers must be under the direct supervision of a USA Swimming registered coach. Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer or swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. OKS warm-up procedures will be enforced.

SEEDING, CHECK-IN and SCRATCHES: All events, except for the 400 IM, 500 Free and 1000 Free will be pre-seeded and the OKS scratch rule will not apply. There will be positive check-in for the 400 IM, 500 Free and the 1000 Free that concludes 30 minutes before the end of designated warm-up periods. The 400 IM, 500 Free and 1000 Free events will be seeded following the closing of the check-in period. The 400 IM, 500 Free and 1000 Free events will be seeded according to time but separated for awards. The 400 IM, 500 Free and 1000 Free will be swum fastest to slowest alternating between girls and boys heats. Failure of a checked-in swimmer to swim an event will result in a disqualification of all subsequent events.

HEAT SHEETS: Heat sheets will be available at the meet for $5.00. Deck-seeded positive check in to swim

events will be listed in psych sheet format in the meet program. No new publications of deck seeded or deck

entry events will be provided for sale. The meet program is not the final determinant of the seeding. Late entries,

corrections, deck entries or scratches may impact the actual heat and lane assignment. Seeding will be posted as

soon as possible after the scratch and or positive check in period closes. A copy of the deck-seeded heats will be

posted for spectators.

FINAL RESULTS: The meet results will be available to the coach or team representative within 24 hours after the conclusion of the meet. Final results may be ordered by any individual through the meet director for $10.00.

CONCESSIONS: A concessions area will be available to swimmers and spectators upstairs behind the spectator seating.

OFFICIALS: We would like to ask for assistance during the meet. All help is appreciated.

SWIM ATTIRE: Swim suits, goggles, towels, etc. will be available during the meet.
