Deborah Mellito – 1105 Linden – BelAir Place – She has lived there for 31 years and worked at Monsour for 26 years; Trees were planted as a memorial at the hospital, she wants to beautify the Community with Landscaping; she does not want bright lights.

Pastor Anthony Murray – Offer tax credits to new businesses.

Clyde Bittner – 313 Agnew Road – Are there any other ideas other than a service station?; We need a draw to downtown; a lot of changes in Braddock; the Farmers Market in Jeannette was his dream.

Mr. Monzo – Nondisclosure agreement; December 26, 2017, 6.4 acres, first mention of gas station; we were lied to.

Kathie Tanyer – 803 Laura Street –mentioned the 700 block of Clay Avenue and how nothing has been done with it since 2012-2013; Take a chance - In favor of Jayhawk Commons.

City Clerk Announcements: February 6, 2:30 p.m. – Health Board Meeting (All Old Business)

Mr. Smith – Street Department is understaffed – ice storm

Mrs. Mozley – Library is having computer classes – mentioned 2018 Spring Story Hours

Fire report by Chief Frye – 70 incidents – Bell Tower Fire today.

Negotiations – two tier system

Mr. Highlands – ongoing renovations of City Hall

Mrs. Peters – City Finances Deferred to Michelle Langdon, City Clerk/CFO (No report)Will give 2017 final quarter report at the February meeting.

Mr. Antoniak –Report from Chief Binda on Police Department – number of calls for 2017 is 6,622; a medicine

box will be placed in the Tax Office of City Hall for unused medicine; E-tickets will soon be

used and printed directly from the police vehicles and go directly to the Magistrates Office.

1. A motion was made by Smith and seconded by Nancy to conduct the first reading of

Bill No. 18-01 to be Ordinance 18-01:

An Ordinance of the City of Jeannette, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, reopening the City’s 2018 budget; adopting the City’s 2018 budget; authorizing appropriations and expenditures; and repealing any inconsistent ordinances and resolutions.

A RESOLUTION OF THE GOVERNING BOARD OF THE CITY OF JEANNETTE, WESTMORELAND COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AUTHORIZING, EMPOWERING and directing the proper officers of the governing board to appoint a liaIson between it and Berkheimer, the duly appointed collector of LOCAL taxES for the district, for THE express purpose of sharing confidential tax information with the district for official purposes.
