Workshop - DER Growth Scenarios and Distribution Load Forecasting (R.14-08-013)

This workshop will consider the process and methodologies for forecasting the adoption of distributed energy resource (DERs) in order to inform the Distribution Resource Planning Process (DRP). It will also consider the coordination issues and how the DRP will inform CPUC Integrated Resource Planning process (IRP), CEC Integrated Energy Policy Report (IEPR) demand forecast, and CAISO Transmission Planning Process (TPP). Public Workshop Notice: A.15-02-002 et al, Phase 2, Workshop for the Utilities to Present Alternative Methodologies in the S-MAP Proceeding.

This is the first workshop in Phase 2 of the Safety Model Assessment Proceeding (S-MAP), A.15-02-002 et al. The purpose of this workshop is for the utilities to present alternative methodologies for consideration in Phase 2. The contact person is Arthur O’Donnell at (415) 703-1184.

Public Meeting Notice: 510 Area Code Local Jurisdiction and Public Meeting

The 510 area code is expected to use up all available prefixes by June 2018. To ensure the availability of numbers in the 510 area code region, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) has begun the process to consider the introduction of a new area code to the geography now served by the 510 area code. Adding a new area code to the 510 area code is known as an overlay, which was proposed by the telecommunications service providers. The proposed overlay, pending CPUC approval, will allow all existing customers to keep their current phone numbers, including the 510 area code.
This meeting is being held in order to provide more information about the area code relief activities in the 510 area code region and to solicit comments from the public. The public is encouraged to voice their opinion by:
1) Attending the Local Jurisdiction and Public Meeting scheduled above in February 2017;
2) Calling the area code hotline at (866) 340-6147;

Public Workshop Notice:2017 Joint Agency Workshop on 2030 Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Targets for Integrated Resource Planning

Purpose:

This workshop will facilitate a discussion among stakeholders regarding (a) the electricity sector-wide GHG emissions reduction target for 2030 to be used by the agencies in developing targets for individual retail electricity providers, and (b) the possible division of this target for planning purposes in the CPUC’s and CEC’s respective IRP processes. The workshop will also address how the CPUC, Energy Commission, and California Air Resources Board plan to coordinate to set GHG targets for IRP in compliance with SB 350. Though a quorum of commissioners may be present, no decisions will be made.
