Unit II Choreography & Performance
Big Idea: Arts are significant in daily life and can lead to one’s search for identify and personal fulfillment.
Essential Questions:What are the basic choreographic forms and how does one incorporate as well as analyze/evaluate these forms in a performance? What are the basic principles of choreography and how does a choreographer work with these principles in designing a dance? How do dancers express ideas and feelings through dance elements? Who are my favorite choreographers in dance? What is specialized dance vocabulary?

Dance Styles and Genres / Rumba, waltz, meringue, fox trot, line dance, tango.
