Child Safety
Parents are responsible for their child’s behavior and safety at all times whilst on the premises. Students and their Siblings are not permitted to play or run through the gardens on the property. The teaching faculty is not responsible for students or their siblings playing unsupervised outside or in the car park. Please be on time when collecting students at the end of their classes. Students must be collected from the hall.
Class Viewing Days
Viewing days are held during the last week of each Term. At JBD we leave the doors open during each class for parents to view each lesson, but we do ask for ALLcarers to sit in the waiting area so we have maximum use of the hall space. New students may have a parent watch from inside the hall for the first week only. We ask that carers keep noise to a minimum in the waiting area to help reduce unwanted noise and distractions.
Concert - Annual Performance
The Annual Performance is held at the end of Term 4. The performance is not compulsory. If a student participates they will be required a costume per routine. Details will be published closer to the time.
Consent - Parent / Guardians
When completing the Just Boys Dance Enrolment form, overleaf, parents/guardians are required to sign at the bottom, indicating they confirm the student is in good health and may participate in dance activities at the studio.
Students attend and participate in classes at their own risk
Any medical condition(s) must also be identified and consent given in case of an emergency requiring medical Student
treatment or treatment at a hospital facility. Parents/Guardians (or the emergency contact) will always be contacted first before any action is taken, unless life threatening.
Newsletter
A newsletter will be issued via email and hard copy at least once a term. Please ensure your email and contact details are on file and current. Newsletters will also be available on out website.
Social Media & Website.
Social Media safe practices between students/families and staff are in place.copy Just Boys Dance has a Facebook page which is used to promote and communicate upcoming events and workshops, please join us to keep up to date with all upcoming events.
Our website is also a communication tool so please visit that regularly. Any photos or clips taken will be used for marketing/promotional purposes only.
Parking – Onsite and Street
Onsite and street parking is available. It is requested that drivers be vigilant at all times when driving onto the premises or parking on the street.
Personal Property
It is suggested that all clothing and belongings are clearly labelled with the student’s full name, as responsibility is not accepted for lost property.
Photographic and Video/DVD Permission Release
Enrolment at the Just Boys Dance gives automatic permission for all photographs and/or video/DVD recordings taken during classes or performances to be used for marketing including the use on the JBD website and Facebook page.
Studio Uniform
Students are to wear the JBD uniform and correct shoes to each class.
The JBD uniform is compulsory.
Tuition Fees
Fees are paid by the term and must settled within the first 2 weeks of Term. .
Fees can be paid by cash or cheque. Please note, credit card facilities are available.
An annual Registraion fee is charged at $30 per student and paid before class commences.
All missed lessons must be paid for and be accompanied by a letter of absence. Any missed lessons due to illness, holidays or other commitments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Receipts are issued on request only.
Students will be denied entry to classes if the family is in arrears of their fees. This will also attract a 20% late fee. Any outstanding accounts will be handed over to an appropriate Credit Association and fees passed onto the client.
If you wish to no longer attend classes 30 days’ notice must be given, if there are any classes scheduled during that 30 days they must be paid for.
