6th Grade TV Crew! Want to get your chance to be in the studio? Then sign up to attend an after school training session held every Monday and Wednesday. Sixth grade Ford Focus members must sign up in the technology office by November 8th.

Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Fords lists are posted in room 143.

Rehearsal for students in 6th grade Band and Chorus or 6th Grade Orchestra and Chorus is cancelled for today (Thursday) due to the 1/2 day schedule.

Hey HMS - looking for something to do after school? Here's a bright idea. How about doing your homework. Or better yet - get a job and be a productive member of society. But if neither of those ideas work for you, think about coming to the first Actor's Workshop meeting of the year. Yes, it's back - sorry about that. Wednesday, November 6 in the cafeteria. See Mr. Langin with concerns, questions, and leftover Halloween candy.

Hey 6th graders, do you miss floor hockey from elementary school? Well, you have a chance to sign up this week in the 6th grade office. Stop by the office to pick up a permission slip. It has to be returned by THIS FRIDAY!!! There is limited space, so be quick with returning your slip to the 6th grade office. Games start November 4th and end November 13th. See you there!

There is a meeting on Thursday, November 7th in Gym A/B for all boys and girls interested in basketball or wrestling on our Middle School teams.

The unlimited football team has now won 3 straight games to improve their record to 5-2 on the year. Last Tuesday the fords beat Drexel Hill 29-6 before traveling to E.T. Richardson on Friday and coming away with a 20-8 victory. Last night under the lights the Fords put up 33 points to Strath Haven's 15. The team has been improving since the beginning of the year and it’s been an all around team effort on both offense and defense. The Fords are looking to finish the year 6-2 when they face Valley Forge this Friday at Conestoga for the last game of the season.

Yesterday's 7th grade volleyball Captains: Abbey Fridley, Shelby Hufnal and Georgina Williams led our Lady Fords onto Strath Haven's court.

The 115 lb football team won under the lights Tuesday night 30-0 against a strong Strath Haven Team. This puts the team record at 6-1 going into their last game on Friday.

The 7th Grade Girls Soccer team won its 10 game in a row, shutting out Springton Lake in a 3-0 victory on Wednesday. Goal scorers were Ali Murphy, Anna Martinko and Alison Durfee.

The Eighth Grade field hockey team came from behind to tie Springton Lake 1 to 1.

Alexa Kane scored Haverford's only goal. Great game, girls, and thanks for a wonderful season. Please return all uniforms and equipment to Mrs. O'Grady by Friday in room 279.

Attention all sixth grade girls! Field Hockey Intramurals will begin next Wednesday, November 5. More information will be coming soon.

The 7th Grade Field Hockey ended the season yesterday afternoon with a 7-0 victory over Springton Lake on the turf at Haverford High School. McGinley Jones with 2, Julia Klein scored HMS goals with a hat trick, and Sydney Corcoran & Carly Gannon each with one. Outstanding offensive and defensive recognition goes to Amber Moscoe & Megan Phillips. Way to go 7th grade!

The entire 7th Grade Field Hockey Team deserves special congratulations on their PERFECT SEASON. The Fords finished the 2013 season with a 13-0 record - scoring 68 goals - and the strong HMS defensive unit did not even allow one shot on goal the entire season. A fantastic accomplishment for an amazingly talented and hard working group of girls! Congratulations 7th Grade Field Hockey!!!"

On Monday the 8th grade boys soccer team faced it's greatest test of the season and came out triumphant. Despite losing their best all around player, Matt Billbrough, to injury, the Fords beat a very strong Stath Haven team 3 to 2. Andrew Wolf had all three assists.

The adrenaline must have still been flowing yesterday when they beat Springton Lake 8 to 1. The entire team played on a whole different level. Griffin Gallagher had a hat trick and Connor Brown scored twice. Mike Cox, Wilson Dodds and Chris Rose scored the other goals.

Our last game of the season is tomorrow at Drexel Hill.
