Our Field hockey team defeated Klinger Middle School last night by a score of 3 to 1. All 21 girls contributed to the effort. Scoring two goals for log was Alicia Hoefermann and one goal by Gianna Scarcelli. Great goaltending by Ava Garner was a key to the success of the season. She turned away several shots last night and only allowed four goals all season. She was well supported by an outstanding defense led by Ava Doran, Vanessa Yanes and Alexis Jones. Supporting the offense with great hits and excellent ball movement were halfbacks Danielle Scott, Caroline Reed and Laura Orzehoski. Assisting on attack withtheir never say die attitude were Karly Adkins and Erin Ellis. William Tennent will be lucky to have this group of eighth graders. The girls finished their season with five wins, four ties and one loss. Their hard work and determination to play like a team was rewarded with a very successful season that they should be proud of. Next the girls begin their indoor season and hope to be as successful. Great job girls and congratulations!!
