If your application is for JAS only, your application fee is $1,900, pre-inspection review fee is $100, and post-inspection fee is $200. Your total JAS certification fee is

If in addition to JAS, you are also applying for any other certification program(s) through OCIA International, your application fee is $360, pre-inspection review fee is $100, and post-inspection fee is $200. Your total JAS certification fee is

If you withdraw your application before the pre-inspection review, $500 will be refunded; after the pre-inspection review, $400 will be refunded. There will be no refund once the inspection occurs.

JAS applicants are required to pay certification fees for each certification category requested (i.e. Processor, Producer, or Repacker). The only exception is when the categories requested are Processor and Repacker for the same crops/product. In this case, the applicant will only pay one fee.

2)Inspection Fees:

Canada inspections:$320 per day

You will be charged for half a day if the inspection (inspection + report writing + travel) takes 4 hours or less. You will be charged for a full day if the inspection takes between 4 and 8 hours. You will be charged for one and a half day if the inspection takes between 8 and 12 hours…etc. Other than these fees, you will also be charged for travel expenses such as airfare, mileage, lodging, and meals.

Your final inspection cost may be higher or lower than the estimated inspection fee. OCIA will credit your account for any overpayment or will contact you if the final inspection costs exceed the original estimate. No adjustments will be made if the difference is $25 or less.

You can pay for all certification fees (including JAS) and inspection fees with one check. Please make your check or money order in Canadian funds payable to OCIA International – Canada. We will proceed with your certification only when we receive your payment along with a copy of your invoice(s).
