I think that the bombing of Japan was unnecessary.
When I think that the Atomic bomb ever provided an opportunity to stop the war against Japan, I always come up with the idea that it was not the case. Even if it had not been for the atomic bomb, the war would have ended.
But, why did America drop the bomb on Japan twice?
I think that once was good enough.
Japanbecame perished by war, and couldn't continue the war so long.

2, Yuri

I think it wasn't necessary to drop an atomic bomb on Japan. There are two reasons. First, this bomb caused extensive damage to Japanese people. Many people are still suffering from radiation sickness. Second, I think there was another way to stop the war .America can't really be praised for dropping the bomb, killing many people and finally breaking the city. I wanted America to peacefully persuade Japanese to stop the war.

3, Yuriko

I think that the atomic bomb wasn't necessary.

The atomic bombing killed innocent people.

I think that wars shouldn't involve general citizens.

America didn't want to save many Americans and Japanese, but they only wanted to try the atomic bombing's power.

Otherwise, they wouldn't have dropped the second bomb.

4, Yuko

I don't think that the atomic bomb was necessary because it killed many people.
Certainly, the war wouldn't have ended immediately and still more people would be killed without having dropped the atomic bomb on Japan.
But, I think this idea regards human beings as a mere figure.
As long as we live, we have family and friends.
If a man had been killed in the war, people who loved him would have been sad.
So I can't accept the idea that 140000 deaths were necessary to decrease the sacrifice of war.
Though we mustn't forget what the Japanese did in other countries, I want people all over the world to know the fear of the atomic bomb.
It isn't a weapon of justice.

5, Arisu

I don't think that the atomic bombing of Japan was necessary.
The idea that the bombing of Japan saved hundreds of thousands of Americans is a mistake.
In the first place, the losing of Japan was obvious and Japan couldn't afford the military strength to attack America.
So, America could finish the War without losing many lives, both Americans and Japanese.
However, I also think that Japan didn't think of finishing the War until America dropped the atomic bomb.
If America hadn't dropped it, War would have continued longer.
Japan should have surrendered unconditionally earlier.

6, Miyuu

No, it wasn’t necessary to drop an atomic bomb on Japan because there were other ways of defeating the Japanese.

The biggest problem is that this bomb killed an entire city of innocent civilians.

Among the people who were killed by this bomb, were people who hoped to end the war.

Some people say that this bomb was necessary to end the war, but I think it was never necessary that people who had hoped to end the war were killed.

7, Yuki

I believe that the atomic Bomb was not necessary!

Of course, Americans may think it made Japan finish World War Ⅱ,but it left great damages to Japanese nature and people for a long time.

So, all nuclear bombs around the world should be abolished immediately.

8, Mai

No, it was unnecessary to drop the bombs because it was indiscriminate bombing.
To begin with, American armed forces made air raids more than once, and many innocent citizens were killed. It was unnecessary for them to drop the bomb moreover.
I think there were other ways of defeating the Japanese.
Some people say it save hundreds of thousands of Americans, but I think that by then, Japan was worn out. I mean, I think Japan couldn't attack and kill Americans.
Japanese was cruel to others all right, but it was unnecessary for Japanese to be killed twice by the A-bomb.
Almost all the people who were bombed were not servicemen, but innocent citizens (not only Japanese). They still suffer from the A-bomb disease.

9, Saeko

No、it was not necessary to drop an atomic bomb on Japan because there were other ways of defeating the Japanese. This bomb killed a lot of citizens. War should be fought between soldier and soldier. This bomb is tormenting many people now.

10, Naoko

The atomic bombing is very terrible. On August 6th and 9th in 1945, lots of people were killed by the bombs. Why must have American military dropped no less than two terrible bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki? I can't understand the necessity. However, I have no idea which defeated Japan so soon.
My hope is that the unjust arms, such as atomic bombing, never be used anywhere in the world again.

11, Nana

NO,it wasn't necessary to drop an atomic bomb on Japan. This bomb killed many people are suffering even now. America may think that this bomb was a peace force which finished World War Ⅱ, but I don't think so. If you see a lot of people in Hiroshima or Nagasaki, then you will not say such a thing. I want everyone to notice what happened at that time and how dreadful this bomb was. And imagine, if you have this bomb...

12, Mei

I believe the Atomic bomb wasn't necessary because there were other ways of defeating the Japanese. Japan suffered from food shortage. Japan probably would have surrendered the war after 2~3 years, if Americans stopped sending supplies to Japan.
Americans think "The Atomic bomb is a wonderful thing that finished the war ".But it was a big mistake. The Atomic bomb killed 300thousand people.(Hiroshima 200thousand,Nagasaki 100thousand)
I can't say "The Atomic bomb is wonderful."
This is my opinion, but I think the Chinese and Koreans are having contrary opinions.

13, Kousuke

No, dropping the bomb was not necessary.
If the people in America wanted to make the people in Japan surrender, Americans should have talked the Japanese into surrendering.
If Americans had done so, the Japanese would admit surrender.
In those days, did Americans think how hard Japanese would suffer from the atomic bombing?
Some people who suffered from the atomic bombing had a really hard time.

14, Asuka

I think that the bombing on Japan was necessary because it brought about the certain surrender of Japan.
If America had not dropped an atomic bomb on Japan, Japan would have continued the war longer than August fifteenth.
But, it is true that the bomb caused big health problems.
Many people have been suffering from many diseases.

So, we should think about the bombs’ achievements and damages.

15, Taiga

I think that the atomic bomb wasn't necessary because Japan would have accepted the Potsdam Declaration when the Soviet Union attacked Japan without the atomic bomb. I think that America dropped the atomic bomb to get rights and interact in Japan more than the Soviet Union.

16, Akiyo

No, it wasn't necessary to drop an atomic bomb on Japan.
Granted, if the bomb had not been dropped, the war may not have ended before
1945, but the atomic bomb made two hundred thousand people in Hiroshima and
Nagasaki loose their lives.
It is a very sad thing.
I think that there was another safer way to end the war.
But, we cannot undo the past.
I hope that an atomic bomb never falls anywhere in the world ever again, and
I hope that people don't forget how dreadful an atomic bomb is.

17, Miki

I think it wasn't necessary to drop an atomic bomb on Japan because by then, Japan was already exhausted by the war.
We really want to finish the war, so we may have surrendered without the atomic bomb.
There was no power to fight enough in Japan, and we can't have killed so many people that American government said.

18, Kaori

I think that the bombing of Japan was perhaps necessary, but it is not to say that I am satisfied.
Because the Atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima's and Nagasaki's, a great many people were killed. This shouldn't be allowed.
Of course, Japanese soldiers killed so many innocent people, too.
I think Japan must apologize for the victims and survivors.
From the victims' point of view, the bombing of Japan shouldn't have been allowed, but it had happened.
It is important that we not allow it to happen next time.
Then the victims' precious lives will not be lost in vain.

19, Akari

No, it was unnecessary to drop atomic bombs on Japan twice.

It cannot be denied that Japan committed many atrocities, but I think that there were other ways of defeating the Japanese without dropping A-bomb.

On June in 1945, Okinawa had already fallen. There was little war potential in Japan.

An A-bomb killed a large number of innocent civilians once.

I think that it is not necessary that so many people were killed.

A-bomb victims have still been suffering from A-bomb diseases.

Why do they still have to feel pain?

They are not servicemen, but innocent citizens.

20, Kakeru

It is often said atomic bomb didn't need to be dropped about the aspect of the destruction of the environment and a large quantity of people slaughtered.
But I don't know which is more cruel or if the Pacific war would have continued or not.
So I can't tell you if the atomic bombing of Japan was necessary.

21, Ayaka

I think that the atomic bomb was unnecessary.
Of course the atomic bomb finished the war, but I think there was another way which would've finished the war peacefully.
The atomic bomb killed many innocent civilians.
And many people injured BY the atomic bomb are still suffering.
