Where is Japan?

Japan is in Eastern Asia.

Japan’s population is about 126,926,000. WOOOW!

This story is about Japan’s culture, kids, houses, and rules.

Culture

In Japan they have a lot of differences in culture than us. In Japan one type of culture is a play. In the plays the women dress up like men. Their plays only include men; you will not see a sign of a female in one of there plays.

Japan Sports (athletes)

In Japan a common sport is baseball. Some famous baseball players are from Japan. Some just go to other places to play it.

Japan Rules in the House

One of the RULES in the house is you cannot go in the house with your outdoor shoes. You may think, “What, we are going to walk barefoot in the house!” If you are one of those you are wrong. You have indoor shoes like sandals. Where do you put the indoor shoes? Japan people have a place by the door to put them.

JapanSchool Uniform

In Japan kids wear a Kimono. You may wonder,

“What in the world is that?” Well that is a sort of clothes that the kids wear for school or for special ceremonies. A color of some of them is orange for boys and pink for girls.

Japan Sport (kids)

A Japan sport is Judo. Judo means gently. But I do not quite think the sport is. When you play Judo you get people and turn them around and do a lot of things that painfully hurt. You may end up with a twisted neck or so.

Cleaning up at School

Kids clean up their classroom before leaving and going home. They don’t only clean up their classrooms they also clean up restrooms: sinks and floors are examples.

Origami

Every single kid has to try Origami once in their life. It is the best way to entertain a kid. A kid can keep on doing Origami or it can entertain itself with something else. It is also a very common thing to do in Japan.

Japanese Writing

When people write in Japanese they picture in their mind a picture they try to make the writing look like the picture. But it is not easy to learn all the Japanese symbols. You may still be learning symbols when you are in college! So if somebody wants to learn Japanese they have to start maybe at age 9 or 10.

Japanese Money

When you count Japanese $ you don’t say dollar or coin you say yen. There up to 1-500 yens in coins and 1000- 10000 yens in bills. It may be very surprising to you but for them it is not. The Y is the symbol for yen.

Tokyo

Tokyo is the capital of Japan, like we have Austin. The Tokyo tower is also connected with the RainbowTower. Tokyo is a metropolis.Tokyo has also been known as Edo in 1868. Large parts of Tokyo were destroyed with an earthquake.

Japan Countries
