Eagan High School: 26th Annual 9th Grade Volleyball Tournament

Location: Eagan High School, 4185 Braddock Trail, Eagan, MN 55123

When: Saturday, Oct. 1st, 2016 (The Saturday of the 7th week of the season.)

Time: The gym will be open at 7:45 AM. Official warm-ups to the first match will start at 8:15 AM. Play is scheduled to begin at 8:30 AM.

Other Relevant Information…

·  Eagan High School will provide balls for warm-ups.

·  Each team will need to provide one line judge for each match. Up and down officials will be provided.

·  The first two matches on each court will have a 10 minute (4-4-2) warm-up. The following matches will have 6 minute (3-3) warm-up.

·  Registration fees are to be paid to the “Eagan High School Volleyball Boosters”. The entry fee is $100 per team. Please do not write your checks out to Eagan High School.

·  Matches will be the best of 3 sets. The first two sets will be to 25 points and the third set will be to 15 points if necessary. (Must win by two, no cap)

·  Pool play will determine seeding for the play-off brackets. In the case of a tie during pool play the following will be used as tiebreakers…

2.  Game percentage won

3.  Point differential

4.  Coin Toss

·  Once pool play is complete and teams are reseeded, teams will be placed into one of three play-off brackets.

o  1st place teams will play for 1st – 4th.

o  2nd place teams will play for 5th – 8th.

o  3rd place teams will play for 9th – 12th.

·  Play-off brackets,

·  A commons area with tables and chairs will be available for your teams to gather between matches.

·  FOOD & COOLERS: Teams are asked to not bring in outside food (crockpots, coolers, etc.). The booster club has put together many different healthy food and drink options that will be available at the concession stand.

·  Other than capped bottles, food and drinks are not to be brought into the gyms.
