January Agenda – 2018Happy New Year!

  2. Remind 101 – Anyone not on the remind list (new members)
  3. Christmas service projects: List on your community service form each item or items that you brought and if you participated in our packing and delivering days.
  4. International Food Night: Required community service project!!!! Thursday February 22 –6PM until approx. 7:30PM – SEHS Cafeteria – Dress – jeans/khakis and tennis shoes or comfortable shoes (All participants must follow dress code, but uniforms are not required.)
  1. Cost - $5.00 per person (including members and participants from other groups including entertainment) – ALL proceeds go to Relay for Life (NHS makes NO profit from this!!!! We provide the paper products and the drinks.)
  2. Food – All food must be HOMEMADE!!!!! Bring between 5:00 and 5:15.

1)Sign up by country – today or in room 219

2)Disposable containers only!!!!

3)Do not bring dishes during the day; we do not have a place to store them.

4)Make sure you collect your food items or have someone responsible for picking up your food and container(s)/serving utensils (Label if you are planning to stay and want your items returned. Otherwise, make sure everything is disposable.)

5)Our guests eat first then members may serve themselves. Bring plenty!

  1. Set up/Clean up/Serving - signup sheets – next meeting

1) Set up begins immediately after school.

2) Clean up continues until the cafeteria is set up for the next morning. We need as many people as possible to stay and clean up!!!!!

3) Serving – Wear gloves that we will provide and monitor where you are placed. Most of our guests will be serving themselves.

  1. Community Service Hours – One hour for each:

1)Each dish of food

2)Each person you bring

3)Set up and/or clean up

4)Dressing in an international costume (not just a hat – must be an entire costume from a different country)

  1. Excused absences for International Food Night – Turn these in to an advisor, and please sign up to provide drinks or send a food dish in a disposable container. This is our fundraiser for Relay for Life, and we need all of you!
