The Japan Center at Stony Brook (JCSB) Essay Competition Sponsored by Canon U.S.A. St. Joseph’s University John P. McNulty Scholars Program designed specifically for young women for excellence in science and mathematics. Fifteenth Annual National Co-op Scholarship Program the largest independently sponsored merit co-op scholarship program in the U.S. WACE will award 175 merit awards totaling $4.5 Million. The New York Water Environment Association (NYWEA) is a non-profit educational organization of water professionals promoting sustainable clean water quality management through science, education and training. Molloy College Freshmen Scholarships Dominican Academic Partial Tuition Scholarships, ranging from $4,000-$20,000 are based on academic achievement. Deadline 3/1/17. Molloy College Community Service Award partial tuition awards ranging from $500-$5,000 for freshmen who demonstrate a commitment to their community and school. Seton Hall University Sustainable Development Challenge designed to engage students in thinking about the needs of society and the planet. Students must submit a 300-500 word statement addressing their thoughts and ideas about how they can be part of the solution and raise awareness or effect change related to one of the UN goals. LI2Day Scholarship established to recognize the profound effect of breast cancer/other women’s cancer has on a family. Five one-time awards of $2,500 will be given to a senior who resides with a parent or guardian who is a survivor or resided with a parent or guardian who has passed from breast cancer and/or other women’s cancer.

Maria A. Sciara Scholarship Those aspiring to become teachers will be given extra consideration, but is not the criteria for applying. This is a $2,000 scholarship awarded to 3 seniors in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The student must reside or have resided with a parent or guardian who is a survivor of any cancer other than breast cancer and/or other women’s cancers or have resided with a parent or guardian who has passed from breast cancer and/or other women’s cancer. Greater Long Island Running Club Herb Grayson Memorial Scholarshipoffering a $2,000 award on the basis of involvement in and service to the Long Island running community. You must submit a paper describing your involvement in as well as your personal running accomplishments. This is a SERVICE-oriented scholarship rather than one based on athletic accomplishments. A Mother’s Gift Scholarship Program established by The Summer Hope Foundation which supports the fight against cancer. Three seniors whose families have been touched by cancer will be awarded $1,000 each. In honor of Annie Alahverdian, a breast cancer survivor and Summer Hope Board Member. Island Drafting & Technical Institute Scholarship Program provides $2,500 award to each student, which can be applied toward the daytime session Associate Degree program in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or Electronic and Computer Service Technology. Ithaca College’s Park Scholar Program offers a dynamic learning community that develops future communications leaders who engage critically, act globally, and perform ethically.
