PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Medarex, Inc., Sunnyvale, CA October ’05 – Present

Biologist / Research Associate III

Protein & Medicinal Chemistry Department

Ø  Developed analytical methods / assays for cytotoxics-antibody drug conjugate for targeted cancer therapy. The methods are using ELISA, SEC and IHC-based analytical assays to characterize drug conjugate in terms of stability, specificity, activity & purity.

Ø  Developed ELISA methods to screen monoclonal antibodies in order to determine the specificity of various versions of ultra potent toxins.

Ø  Determined the pharmacokinetic studies of toxin-antibody conjugate for canine / toxicity study.

Ø  Established ELISA methods to determine the stability of toxin-antibody conjugate in serum & plasma.

Ø  Developed SEC and IHC analytic methods for characterization of conjugates

Ø  Wrote SOPs for all the developed immunoassays and transferred to Quality Control department

Ø  Participated in different projects by developing various immunoassays

Ø  Purified polyclonal & monoclonal antibodies by Protein A, Protein G or affinity columns.

Ø  Characterized purified antibodies by SDS-PAGE, western blot, immunoprecipitation, bovine IgG & endotoxin level using LAL method.

Ø  Recorded & documented detailed experiments daily in notebook and also computer system in Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint.

Ø  Oral presentations for project meetings weekly.
