Who is the program open to?
· Any students entering kindergarten in the Fall through current sixth graders
When will the program be held?
· Monday through Thursday June 20th through July 21st from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Octorara Intermediate School. We will not be in session on Fridays, or Monday, July 4 for the holiday.
· This includes 1 ½ hours of reading and writing instruction, 45 minutes of math instruction as well as enrichment activities.
How much does it cost?
· The fees for the program are $100.00/week or $400 for the full five weeks for children who reside in the district.
· Out of district students’ fees for the program are $200/week or $800 for the full five weeks.
· A non-refundable $50.00 deposit is due with your registration for the program (deposit will be credited toward total due). The remainder of your balance MUST be paid by the start of the program unless other arrangements are made.
How does it work?
· The literacy portion of the program is a 1 ½ hour small group tutoring session, which will meet each day. The session will address reading, writing, speaking and listening skills and will include PSSA aligned instruction.
· The math portion of the program is a 45 minute grade level group instruction/enrichment session.
· Each day, the camp will include enrichment classes such as science, computers, and arts and crafts. Literacy (reading, writing, listening and speaking) will be woven into all enrichment activities. In addition, students will have a playground and snack time daily.
· Highly qualified teachers and adults will be working at the program.
· Normal drop off time is 8:00 AM and the normal pick up is 12:30 PM. There is no additional charge for early drop off which will begin at 7:00 AM. Parents MUST sign up the previous week for early drop off.
· Free bus transportation for students who attend the program from 8:00 AM until 12:30 PM is available.
· Your child should bring a back pack, snack and water bottle each day.
Do you have an Incoming Kindergartener?
· Dates, times, bussing, early drop-off offer, and cost are the same.
· Students will receive a 1 ½ hour small group tutoring session in literacy (reading, writing, speaking, & listening)
· Students will have math, centers, art, & music activities each day.
DEADLINES TO REMEMBER
· Regular registration closes on May 6, 2016.
· The deadline to sign up for bussing is May 13.
· Any registration forms submitted after May 6th will be subject to a non-refundable $50.00 late fee until May 13th.
