Achievements

Below are photographs of Daniel White & Ollie King flying through the air! These were taken last Saturday at Plymouth City Moto Parc - both boys had massive crashes, causing theRed Flag to come out, but after being checked out by paramedics, both went on to ride for another 40 minutes until the end of the practice!!

Well done boys!

Ollie KingDaniel White

Thank you!

A big THANK YOU to Mrs Gloria Jolly and her family who, once again, ran a very successful Tombola at the Kehelland Village Tea Treat last Saturday and raised £81.00 for the school. Mr Smith and the

staff will give some thought on how best to spend this.

Grenfell Tower Appeal & Race for Life

Mrs Hollywood provided a collection box at GOTG last Friday evening, for donations towards the Grenfell Tower Appeal. £89.67 was donated and this will be paid to the appeal through Local Giving, who have pledged to match whatever was raised to double it. Thank you to all children who took part in the Race for Life and for bringing in their sponsor money. Please could any outstanding monies be brought into school by the end of next week. Thank you.

Class 1

Class 1 will be visiting the Shelterbox Visitor Centre on the morning ofMonday 17th July. We are sorry about the change of date, but the Centre has only just been completed. We may be the first school to visit! The plan is to visit the bank first, to pour all our pennies into the special machine. The latest count is £89! Wouldn't it be wonderful to reach £100? A useful bonus to our collecting is that the children are now very good at stacking coins in 10p piles and putting 10 piles in a bag to make £1!

The children will need a coat and a packed lunch. Weather permitting we will eat our lunch in the park. If it is wet we can use the Shelterbox cafe.

End of Term

The end of any school term is busy but the run up to the end of the summer term is particularly so. It would assist Mrs Olds greatly if payments could be sent into school NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY 19th JULY. All cheques should be made payable to TRURO & PENWITH ACADEMY TRUST. Dealing with money on the last day of term is not ideal! Thank you very much for your co-operation in this.

Swimming

Swimming has now finished for this year. There will not be any swimming in the Autumn Term as Carn Brea Leisure Centre is closed for refurbishment. Arrangements for swimming in the Spring and Summer terms 2018, will be shared with parents when the staff have discussed the fairest way to allocate weeks in order that all House Groups swim.

Bags to School

Reminder – the collection day for the Bags to School is next Wednesday, 12th July at 9.00am. Please come to the school office if you need any more bags, or, alternatively, use black bin liners.
