JAM AND LEARN WITH THE EXPERTS AT HOUSE SESSIONS

An exciting new programme of pop, rock and contemporary music master classes and jam sessions has been launched for teenage musicians in Kent.

The House Sessions will be held on Thursday evenings during the autumn and next spring at Lawton’s House at The Judd School, in Brook Street, Tonbridge.

Young musicians can jam together and attend master classes on song-writing, loop pedal, soloing, recording and getting their music heard.

The classes and jam sessions are led by music industry specialists, including Russ Grooms, Dan Turnbull, Pie Factory Music and Joe Browne, supported by in-house tutors Paul Malsom and Alex Ribchester.

Paying £5 per session, young musicians aged 11 to 18 can pick and choose which master classes they wish to attend or just go along for a jam with musicians of all types and abilities.

All instrumentalists are welcome as well as vocalists, songwriters, DJs and electronic instrumentalists.

The House Sessions, which start on September 26, have been developed by Kent Music in conjunction with a panel of young people put together to support the project.

Participating students will be able to audition to perform at the Music CORE’s brand new gig night, Platform, due to be held at The Forum, Tunbridge Wells on Monday October 28.

To apply go to http://www.kent-music.com/local-music-group/the-house-sessions/ or contact Carrie Baines on or 01622 358412.
