We ask that all family members refrain from coming to practice. Visitors in and out of the room bring dirt and potential infectious materials into the room, puts people at risk of bodily injury and can be a distraction that disrupts out plans. Visitors are welcome when practice is over, we simply ask that you remove your shoes and leave them outside the wrestling room.

MYTHS

  1. Wrestlers have to cut weight. NOT TRUE. We do not ask, expect or require our wrestlers to lose weight. We encourage our athletes to eat healthy and to wrestle at whatever weight they are comfortable at.
  2. Wrestling rooms and mats are dirty. NOT TRUE. We clean our mats twice a day, spray our wall mats daily, wash our workout gear daily and disinfect our equipment daily. OUR AREA IS THE CLEANEST ATHLETIC AREA IN THE ENTIRE SCHOOL. Any skin infection is a result of wrestlers not cleaning up immediately after practice or meets
  3. Wrestling has lots of injuries. NOT TRUE. Wrestling ranks very low on the injury list in regards to high school sports. Football, soccer, lacrosse, and baseball all have a higher injury rate than wrestling.
