Dear Parents:

Our first day back to school is Monday August19thand orientation for students will be on Friday August16th(time is TBA). Below is a list of school supplies that your child will need for the new school year. All supplies that are sent in will be placed in a classroom collection and distributed as needed. Therefore, it is not necessary to put your child’s name on any of the supplies. This will help to develop the feeling of the classroom community, an attitude of caring, responsibility and respect for others, which are some of the Montessori goals that our class will focus on this year. Please put your child’s name ONLY on the items with an ** next to them. Please try to bring supplies on the day of orientation to help make the first day flow smoother. All Students:

1 bottle of juice

Plastic cups (1 package of the very small ones, 5 oz. bathroom size)

2 boxes of crackers/pretzels/rice cakes/healthy non-perishable snack

Elmer’s glue sticks (4)

2 packages of the refill Wet Wipes/Baby Wipes (we use these each day before lunch and after recess)

Plastic pencil box ** (try to get the smaller one since the children will have to keep this at their workspace or cubby)

1 package of Crayons

1 pack of medium to large sized stickers (not the little tiny stickers please)

2 one subject notebooks (solid color with no design)

1 roll of paper towels

A white t-shirt to be used as a field trip t-shirt **

1 clean set of clothes in a Ziploc bag with your child’s name on it ** (for accidents/emergencies)

Towel with your child’s name on it (to be used at quiet time)—No Blankets please

Kindergarten Students:Pre-K Students:

Napkins 1 pack sandwich size Ziploc bags

1 package of Colored Pencils 1 box of Kleenex

1 small memo pad ** 1 package of copy paper (white

Miscellaneous Supplies that would be greatly appreciated if you are able to donate: Jumbo Ziploc bags (the size up from gallon), gallon size Ziplocs, washable markers, plastic cutlery (forks, spoons), hand sanitizer, pony beads (any color), clothespinsand Clorox wipes.
