  1. St. Petersburg College's governing body is the Board of Trustees of St. Petersburg College, Florida. The Board of Trustees of St. Petersburg College is, by statute, a body corporate, a political subdivision of the state of Florida and a part of the Florida College System and is further authorized to offer certain baccalaureate degrees as a four-year college.
  1. The Board is the proper party in all suits for or against the College. The general powers and duties of the Board of Trustees are set forth in Florida Statutes 1001.64, and Florida Board of Education Rules. Generally, the Board meets once per month. The meetings are publicly noticed and agendas are provided as required by the Administrative Procedure Act, Chapter 120, Florida Statutes.

III.The President is the Secretary to the Board of Trustees and the Chief Administrative Officer in charge of the day-to-day operation of the College. The general powers of the President are set forth in the Florida Board of Education Rules and the Rules & Procedures of the Board of Trustees.

IV.Each College campus is operated by a provost.

V.The Board of Trustees’ Rules and Procedures are available to College employees, students and general public via the College's website.

The Board’s agency Clerk's duties and responsibilities include the preparation and maintenance of agendas and minutes under the direction of the Secretary to the Board. The Board Clerk’s contact information and instruction on submissions to, and service on, the Board is provided on the College’s website.
