Reach Legislation Compliance
Dear supplier,
in order to achieve a correct application to EU Regulation No. 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation and Restriction of Chemicals (also known as REACH), We ask you, as our company Suppliers, to fill the front of this document and send it back to our company duly signed on each page to certify, in writing, that the articles you provide to Italian Converter:
1) Have been processed with substances pre-registered or registered for an appropriate use.
2) Do not contain Restricted Substances (annex XVII of Reach Regulation), over the limit allowed.
3) Do not contain substances subject to Authorization (annex XIV of Reach Regulation)
4) Do not contain any of the substances included in the List of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) which are potential candidates to become part of the Annex XIV REACH.
If the articles contain any of the substances included in the List of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC), you must to inform us about the name of the substance and the CAS number when its concentration is equal to or greater than 0.1% w/w.

Italian Converter restricted substance list compliance declaration
Dear Supplier,
The purpose of this list of restricted substances (RLS) is to ensure a high standard of safety of chemical products that contributed to Italian Converter s.r.l.
The following RSL provides a list of minimum chemical requirements that must be respected by all of our suppliers to achieve this goal. These requirements are derived from regulations and laws currently in force in many countries of the world.
This RSL applies to all products supplied to Italian Converter srl, both directly and indirectly, as the raw materials, semi-finished and finished products.
The RSL requirements also applies to packaging and articles that come in contact with the raw materials. Each supplier must ensure that every product supplied and any raw material used, meets the requirements of the RSL. By signing this document you agree to conform to this RSL in all its parts.
This conformity must be proved by all necessary means such as safety data sheets for chemicals used to produce articles or test reports for articles. Each item supplied, whether it be a raw material or finished product, it must be tested by the manufacturer for compliance; the tests must be carried out by laboratories accredited in accordance with the latest regulations.
Every six months, we will announce an updated version of this RSL asking you to renew this commitment with Italian Converter.

Definitions
"Articles" means an object which during production is given a specific shape, surface or design which determines its function to a greater degree than its chemical composition. All objects, materials, components, finished products and packaging that you provide are considered articles and are hereinafter referred to as "articles".For example, the following items are the items: an animal skin, a fabric, a metal piece, a bottle, a cap, a packing, etc..
“Intended relase article”: an article containing a substance that is "intended to be released under normal or reasonably foreseeable conditions of use." It also speaks of "deliberate" release of substances from the article. For example, an item of clothing is considered a perfumed article release.
“EEA”: means the European Economic Area, made up of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and the 27 EU Member States.
"ECHA Registration" Under the principle of "Marketing is the availability of data (" no data, no market "), European companies have an obligation to register substances that import or manufacture, including substances in mixtures or substances released from release articles. The term for recording varies depending on the quantity imported or manufactured by the company and the nature of the substance.
"Mixture": a solution composed of two or more substances. Examples: perfumes, cosmetics, glue, dyes, ink, paint, painting, etc.
"REACH": the Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2006 (REACH) on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals. REACH is amended regularly; to find the text in its latest version, please consult the ECHA website at the following address: Scroll down the page down until the section entitled "Consolidated version of the REACH Regulation", where you will find a link to the last consolidated version in Italian and other European Union languages.
"Only representative" means a natural or legal person established outside the Community who manufactures a substance on its own or in preparations or in articles, formulates a preparation or produces an article imported into the Community may appoint a natural or legal person established in the Community, in agreement with the same, to fulfill, as his only representative, the obligations on importers.
"Substance" means a chemical element and its compounds in the natural state or obtained by any manufacturing process, including any additive necessary to preserve its stability and any impurity deriving from the process used, but excluding any solvent which may be separated without affecting the stability of the substance or changing its composition.
"Substances subject to authorization" means substances listed in Annex XIV of REACH. The use of these substances is prohibited in the EEA, from the dates indicated in Annex XIV of REACH. The substances listed in Annex XIV are selected from very high concern (SVHC).
"Substances subject to restriction": substances listed in Annex XVII of REACH. Annex XVII to submit to the restrictions on the marketing and use of certain substances and their presence in certain articles.
"SVHC" - "Substances of Very High Concern": substances of very high concern. These substances can have very serious and often irreversible effects on humans and the environment. The SVHC candidate list are to become, over the next few years, substances subject to authorization, which is why the SVHC are identified on a defined list "candidate list".
