It’s what you have been daily checking your mailbox all summer hoping to see...

You might have missed the bus to Summer Math Camp, but we have generously brought “the bus” to you in the form of this packet (and you thought math ‘fun’ stopped at the end of May...but, NOoooooooooooooooooooo) .

You too will have the same opportunity as others to spend some of those “I’m bored” summer days refreshing your math skills. Really, it’s okay, you can thank us later.

You know you have secretly been longing for a good math problem. The withdrawal symptoms from daily math homework have been obvious. It’s okay to give yourself permission to splurge and treat yourself to at least a few problems a day. Like a great box of chocolates, you could binge and feast upon the following set of problems all in one sitting or relax and leisurely work your way through a few morsels a day, making them last until mid-August.

Imagine how impressed your 8th grade math teacher will be when you actually remember how to do these things the first weeks of school; bask in the glory your peers will grant you for being able to be of help to them with tough concepts; put on your sun screen, power up the solar panel on your calculator – your “math light” is gonna shine brightly next year!

Okay, seriously, by no means are you required to do this(but we know you WAAAAAANT to)! We really think it would benefit you to try some of these problems before school resumes. This Post-Course Test covers important skills taught throughout the Math7-Course2. It can be used as an indicator of how well students are prepared for their next course in mathematics. You can access the online math book over the summer to review/refresh/re-look worked-out examples: If you have not before used the online book, look to LogInMathModeling or LogInAlg1 for access codes and log-in information.

Are you in need of Multiplication Fact practice to strengthen your skills and perform routine problems more quickly? Two good websites would be or

Best wishes for a continued safe, healthy, and relaxed summer
