Main Purpose:

We are looking for a seasoned API Solution Architect with relationship management skills and a solid systems integration background to be accountable for the day-to-day editorial control of IT API Integrations, initially with Payroll Providers, Production of blueprints which define the end state architecture, current state and the transition roadmaps for our clients.

You will also work with our clients' business areas to understand and shape the requirements and direct a team of platform specialists to create fit-for-purpose blueprints.

It is essential that the successful candidate possesses the following experience:

  • Previous IT experience in solutions or enterprise architecture roles with a focus on designing and implementing Integration Solutions that leverage Enterprise Service Bus technologies or Service Orientated Architecture Gateways.
  • Focused approach on strategic alignment of technical design and architecture to meet business growth and direction
  • Demonstrable experience of API management, restful and SOAP API's along with service enterprise and service bus technologies
  • Ability to engage and lead discussions including product selection and solution design
  • Ability to work under broad direction in challenging and unpredictable environments, playing a key role in influencing strategic decision making and understand strategic consequences of IT decisions.
  • The ability to influence, build and maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders at a senior level in order to achieve successful outcomes for the business
  • Apply Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) culture and principles within area of responsibility.

Job Holder Specification:

Formal Education: / Minimum A level or equivalent
Experience: / Working in a project environment preferably within a financial services organisation
Good project planning skills
Technical Experience: / Ability to use project management software
Advanced skills in Word/Excel/PowerPoint
