Hi, I’m Geoff Gledhill and welcome to my February video message. We’re down at Peter Scullin Reserve in Mordialloc, where everything is in preparation for next week’s Mordialloc Food, Wine and Music Festival.

It is an event that we have been running for 10 years and it’s actually part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival. Terrific family event and it’s generously sponsors by the Bank of Melbourne and Quest Apartments.

It’s in a fabulous location; it’s just a short walk from the Mordialloc shops which of course have fantastic cafes and restaurants in that area; afterwards somewhere to go, somewhere for the family to go. It’s just a terrific range of local and regional foods, local wine suppliers, couple of local brewers – 2Brothers, True South and Mornington Peninsula Wineries.

It’s a terrific event, it’s a couple of days where we’ve got terrific music with three stages including acts like Renee Geyer, Russel Morris, Kingswood and many, many more. All different styles of music, few different stages; you can watch one for a while, move to another, whatever takes your fancy!

We encouraged people to arrive by public transport. It’s obviously safety first, if you are going to have a couple of drinks, that’s just sensible. We want everyone to enjoy the day, enjoy the music, enjoy all the different entertainment that’s going to be available.

A feature of it is the Lens Mist Photography Competition, which includes a People’s Choice Award that you can vote for during the weekend. There are all sorts of prizes for the photographers in different categories. But it is all based around their interpretation of Port Phillip Bay.

So I encourage you, get down here February 28 to March 1, it’s a fantastic weekend and I look forward to seeing you here.
